It's about the game.
It's relevant.
These guys are working their asses off to bring us quality entertainment, we should be grateful to them and let them know we appreciate all their hard work.
Lol, do you do this with other games too? If you really appreciate them, send 'em a letter.
The devs are probably working harder than anyone who post here have ever worked especially seeing how some people seem to have an insight into SE that no one has and thinks they have a small team, if they do have a small team they have probably writing over 100,000 lines of code a week.
Also modern games take alot longer to make than 1 year, take this example (I know, I know FPS GTFO, but its the best example I could think of atm) Modern Warefare 3 isnt even out yet, but they are probably working on MW4 right now because there is so much code, and it allows the devs to have a lax approach so they arent overworked, if they are going to pull the plug after MW3 is out they can do it and they havent lost as much money as they would releasing a rushed product.
Yes actually I do.
I posted a letter to Namco once telling them how much I loved the first Klonoa game and I really hoped there would be a second one.
Least to say I was extremely glad when there was a second one.
So I sent a letter again thanking them for making a sequal, and also that it had a happy ending. The first games ending was really heart-breaking![]()
Ah, you are correct ma'am! After reading your post, then a few of the other threads/posts on these forums, I realized that the official forums are mainly used for showing disrespect to the developers. No matter what they do, we can NOT let them get the impression that they may have done something correct! Especially under General Discussion section. Appreciation is only for serious matters!!!!!1!!!!!
Like this:
"I don't think we should flood the forum talking about [this] game with threads showing appreciation to [this] game [when we could be talking about House Season 8!]"

CoD games are in development for 2 years before release. The devs are probably working harder than anyone who post here have ever worked especially seeing how some people seem to have an insight into SE that no one has and thinks they have a small team, if they do have a small team they have probably writing over 100,000 lines of code a week.

When 1 game is released the team begins working on a new CoD to be released 2 years later, in the mean time another team is already half-way through developing a CoD for the following year.
This is why CoD 2, CoD4: MW and CoD 6: MW2 all have the Infinity Ward logo, where as CoD 3, CoD 5: WAW and CoD 7: Black Ops don't. They're different development teams, all authorised by activision, milking the crap out of the same brand name to make as much money as they can.
That being said 2 years is actually a very poor amount of time to be developing a game nowadays, I always considered the CoD games to be rushed, that's why they've never changed the engine since CoD 2.
However try loading up FF X and seeing how long it took them to develop that, you'll find the development time in years under this symbol.
I never ask to revive this thread... I was just sad everyone bashed my thing. I will say thanks in your thread as well! If I wanted to revive this thread i could have just been hurp durp bumb /10char
It's also the job they are paid to do. I don't work a 14 hour day where I have a mountain of work to do and expect or even want to be thanked; I expect to be paid. I don't thank my trash man for dealing with all the garbage. I expect him to do it because that is his job.
Had they worked their assess off earlier, they wouldn't be in this predicament. Part of this community seems to suffer from Stockholm Syndrome. "Thank you for working on a game that was released completely broken and making it slightly less broken with an entire year worth of development." The concept just boggles my mind.
I don't totally dislike the game, but I'm not prepared to thank the developers for making the progress they've made so far. It's really not that amazing and some would even consider progress thus far to be rather slow.
