Housing items limits should be increased specially by giving us new destroy on removal furnishings every patch!
An easy way to add some house room would be to make it so you can decorate your workshop with lets say 50 items.

- Dyeable partitions!
- Please increase the item allowances inside/outside of personal homes and private FC rooms.
- New pictures and paintings (it has been mentioned in previous posts)
- DIFFERENT ORNEMNTAL TREES... seriously, we have orange trees and apple trees in game, along with grape vines, but everyone wants the eastern cherry tree. There's more than one blossom tree in the world.
- I'd love to have the ability to change lighting from one floor to the next. For example a dark basement, a brightly lit ground floor and a mellow lit first floor.
- Different primal furniture. Why can't we have IFRIT things outside? Or BISMARK things instead?
Sorry if this has been said already. If it has, just add it to the pile. xD
Could we please get SOME reason to go INTO our house that is practical? Once we've decorated and gotten everything just the way we want it, there is very little reason to go back. The only useful things really are the garden patch, which is always profitable for the first five seconds of a gardening patch, then is useless, and that's outside! Same for the stable, most of us have FC stables that are MUCH better to put our birds in.
My suggestion, is bring back the "going to sleep in your inn room" thing. I love the fact we can get extra EXP by logging off anywhere in a city, but how about you get a little more for logging out in your bed at the FC house, and even more for logging out in your bed at your very own home? Or give some other small buff for doing that. Basically just give us a practical reason to come back to our homes, that makes millions of gil seem worth it. Thanks!
Vendors are in the house for crafting, always go in for them and to manage my retainers (summoning bell right outside but I go inside more often than not for my retainers).

Would it be possible to move the Spoils Traders from that tiny corner of the housing wards, into the Workshop? Heck, slap a Market Board in the Workshop while we're at it...
Hello. I had this idea around 3.1, when the steward NPC was added, but I never suggested it, hoping someone else would.
I wanted to request a new NPC for the house. Through this NPC we would be able to glamour new interior styles to our houses, and, separately, our rooms, if placed in our private rooms. What I refer to as "interior styles" are the currently non-customizable pillars, staircases, ceiling grids, base trim, and top trim. It would be a gil sink that would allow us to pay the NPC directly to preview and change the style of our housing interiors. It would give us a means to further customize our houses, and could start off with the current existing interiors--Glade, Oasis, and Riviera--as options. Basically, it would be like an aesthetician for the house/private room. Maybe it could be Jandelaine's long lost twin, but instead of implementing another crystal bell, it could be the NPC itself in work clothes.
Over time, new housing glamours could be added. This would be the perfect opportunity to add more elegant and regal designs (white paneling with gilded trim and white marble columns), a Doman interior theme, Ishgardian theme, Allagan theme, Haukke Manor theme, Gold Saucer theme, etc. Creating new interior styles would also create the opportunity to add new crafting recipes for pillars, flooring, lighting, partitions, and wallpapers, even living furniture like tables, chairs, and beds that would match the new themes--basically anything and everything.Maybe as an added bonus we could store seasonal furnishings and rare, otherwise breakable furnishings on this NPC.
I feel like there are not that many ways to make your house appear different from the next. Adding more options for customization within the existing housing system would be a most welcomed change.
I had a very simple request:
Allow us to have retainers inside our houses and private chambers.
That should be more than simple enough, so let's make it interesting, shall we? Let us station our retainers inside our home, yes, but add some extra features, let's make a whole new npc:
Fashion Retainer NPC permit - able to station inside your house only
This is basically a retainer fashion npc with the following special features:
(continued)
(continued)
- Change retainers pose (already available, but add more poses! take already existing animations fron npcs all over the world and add them for variety's sake)
- Allow to set these retainers for multiple dance emoticons (use existing ones, ul'dah dancer animations, heck, even let them learn new dances!)
- Allow retainers inside to sit down (on floor, and on furniture)
- Allow to accomodate retainers on bath tubs (party decoration!)
- Allow to make retainers /doze on your bed furniture (sexy decoration!)
- Allow us to set a custom text on retainers inside our home: so when people go near to them, chat bubbles will come out, just like some npcs! disable clicking on retainers inside our home, they're decorative only
- Maybe implement a function to make them walk around certain area around furnitures, or all around the house!! this would be cool along with wandering minions
- Make an optional pose to introduce random behaviors and expressions, so it's fun to just watch what your retainer npc is doing. Sitting around? stretching? poking a random player?
This is basically a moving and interactive furniture that we can customize as much as a retainer. It's a very simple aesthetic choice. Sometimes you just want a pretty or cool npc inside your house, it doesn't need to be a shop, it doesn't need to be a storage, it doesn't need to do anything, just look nice and allow for customization!
Please make it happen![]()
We need more trees and bushes!
