Ok so I usually play Scholar but I level White Mage on the side sometimes, and no joke I forgot where I put Esuna cuz it's not in the same place I put leeches. I almost let the tank die cuz I was frantically going through my crossbar looking for Esuna XD

This is why I have all my WHM and SCH abilities that share the same function occupy the same spot. Otherwise it ends up messing me up way too much.
Also, I am sorry to all ASTs out there: I used to mock you when I was Warrior-Cloe, but now that I run around with an astro globe, I am actually really liking the job. I think it has my favourite toolkit out of the three healers.
That said, I don't really like to cleric stance dance on that job. Awful from 30 to 52 (until Gravity), and at 52+, the dungeons hit hard enough that I often find myself focusing on healing through most of it anyway.
But if all I have to do is main heal? I really like their cooldowns and cures.

I know exactly what you mean. That’s why i’m trying to make sure that i put skills for each job within the same slot, so i can find them without thinking. When running dungeons multiple times with the same class, you tend to do things through muscle memory, so that you can focus on other things like mechanics or where your party members/enemies are within the battle field.
In order to give you an example how i arrange my hotbars for each class, here’s my White Mage one:
Since i play my White Mage 99% of the time when i’m healing content, i try to position of the Astrologian as well as the Scholar skills within the same slots, based on the type of skill/spell it is.
For example:
[Num 1] Reserved for basic healing spell, meaning:[Num 2] Reserved for supplement/stronger healing spell, meaning:
- “Cure 1” for White Mage
- “Benefic” for Astrologian
- “Physick” for Scholar.
[Num 4] Reserved for removing status effects, meaning:
- “Cure 2” for White Mage
- “Benefic II” for Astrologian
- “Adloquium” for Scholar.
[Num 5] Reserved for Cleric Stance to switch between healing and DPS Stance
- “Esuna” for White Mage
- “Exalted Detriment” for Astrologian
- “Leeches” for Scholar.
[ALT+Num 1]Reserved for Regeneration spells, meaning:
- “Regen” for White Mage
- “Aspected Benefic” for Astrologian
- Since Scholar doesn’t have a Regen spell, i’ve allocated “Aetherflow” here for Scholar (which regenerated 20% of my MP).
The DPS Skills (like Aero, Stone, Bio, Miasma, Malefic and Gravity) always go to the [SHIFT+Num 1 through 6] keys, so i’ll know they are there.
You get the drift. (^_~ )
