    They should make it a time trial and try to do it as fast as you can. You beat the in game record, you get something cool like glamour gear or something.

    I don't consider paying multiple months at a time at a slight discount as "paying extra" - true it's "extra" if you pay monthly, but it comes with when you pay multiple months at a time.

    It's cheaper to do the limited subscription with only one character than the regular subscription with 8 characters, even if you pay for them in 90 day increments. So you pay "extra" to have more than one character.

    This is one of those rare times when Ican go "I pay less than the entry fee and get more than the regular subscription". The joys of being a Legacy player . but yeah, nothing keeping you from replaying on a different server if you're stuck with the Entry plan's limitations

    But not if you pay for 180 days. Both limited and standard 180-day subscriptions monthly prices are $12.99 in NA and 10.99 € / £7.69 in EU (http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/product/).

    That is true. If you really want to buy 6 months at a time. I'd much rather just play through the story again than create a new character.
    That may change when I have all my classes max level, but even then it'd be tough to justify as it takes so very long to get a character to end game.
