I run it roughly 2-5 times a day. I would say half the instances I join are EX primals from 2.0 that I help people get their first clears on. Majority of the "in progress" instances I enter, I end up not getting credit for DR: Mentor as I leave the instance and rejoin as a tank/healer depending on what role they were waiting on the most.

As for everyone complaining about the rewards, the whole point of the system is to help others. I would still be running DR: Mentor 2-5 times a day even without a bonus for the first completion. I've spent many times in Titan EX coaching players through it only to have the run take the entire allotted time and sometimes even having it fail. I'm fine with this as long as people are improving which most are. I've notice that it's mainly in dungeons that I find new players who don't want to listen and take advice on how to improve. In the EX primal fights I get thrown into, most of the people in there are willing to take advice and are open to dialogue on what they are doing wrong.

The only places I don't feel need to be in DR: Mentor are LoTA, ST, WoD, and VA. Since these are 24 man raids with a very low difficulty rating, there is little to no room to offer advice to a player here. Hell, half the time it's hard to even find the one or two new players in those groups in the first place until you get to the end and see the mapping achievement.

While I agree that's good for a main reward, I would rather I be able to make contacts with these people I help. Get to know then, their FC, ally with the FC, add them to a friends list, make a Linkshell etc.

As it stands, you'll likely never see them again. It feels very... hollow, helping out someone like that, especially if they seem awesome and you'd love to help them out more for other things. Them being almost certainly on another server just takes the fun right out of it, for me.

Probably makes me a little selfish, but oh well.
