Greetings,
If there is a lot of demand for specific dated equipment, we'll see if we can add them. If we do add them, they would be added as a brand new item with a similar design.
Please continue to submit your suggestions!

Friend/recruitment code for special items and things (use before paying first sub) RACN78W5 (updated) info on items here http://sqex.to/Cz9 code is entered via the mogstation.

Not exactly a dated piece, but 1.0 had tail armour with the heavy darklight set for Miqo'te.
I know it's a stretch but would love to get some armour again for the backside!

Templar gloves, templar gloves! \o/
I'd change allegiances so fast--! I will have Merlwyb's disappointed frown forever scarred on my brain tissue.I'm really hoping they're following up with their offer to let us join Ishgard in place of the other GCs and this won't just turn into another Mog House in Jeuno situation where the devs abandon the idea. Some of the story elements of 3.2 hint at this but still worried it'll be a no show.

One thing I feel is really missing from the game right now is a plain, steel chainmail, like the old Dated Iron Haubergeon.
It's such a basic style of equipment, so iconic, yet it's absent from 2.0's levelling gear. Sure we have Mythril Haubergeons and Cobalt Haubergeons, but both have either the chainmail part or the plate part in mythril violet. The only way I managed to recreate that iconic look from 1.0 was to dye a Mythril Haubergeon in metallic silver dye, which feels pretty stupid to do. :/ Such an expensive solution for such a basic looking item.
Speaking of haubergeons...
I was actually expecting to receive that at the end of the storyline, just like the shield. I was so disappointed :c Please make it happen! While we're checking with the dev. team regarding your glamour suggestions, I wanted to know how many of you would be interested in seeing the Fortemps armor become available for all jobs? (Without spoiling too much, this is the armor your character wears during the Patch 3.2 main scenario.)
If you would like to see this added, hit the Like button on this post, so we can relay that over to the dev. team for consideration.
On a less important request, I'd love to gear up my retainer in some "civilian" looking clothes like the Dated Cotton Tunic. I've managed to find a new, dyeable equivalent in ARR, the Hempen Tunic, but it only has the low-level hempen texture and for some reason it's Disciple of War only, which is kind of strange.

This has probably been suggested a billion times but I would actually like more understated and simplistic pieces of equipment.
A plain cloth tunic, similar to say, Tifa (FF7) or Sabin's (FF6) top.
A simple "kenpo gi" style set, similar to FFXI's different Far East themed gear or something like a certain japanese fighter from a certain series involving fights on the streets. The "sitabaki" pants were great and I feel like FFXIV lacks a decent simplistic pair of pants that don't look awkward around the ankles or cover up the shoes.
