I wouldn't mind if SE designed gear (not what I can take advantage of!) that would look good on a Caster/Healer Roegadyn male .-.
Didn't SE say they design gear on females first and then copy-paste it onto males?

I had to go and look because I haven't really paid much attention to the Lore stuff yet..
But I fail to see how a two inch high heel is an issue? It's not like its a five inch high stilhetto spike. I mean, I'm all for making more armor so we have options, I just don't see why they should need to make fifteen sets of tome gear when there are already in-game tools that allow you to customize your appearance to your tastes.

I'm with the OP in this. I want tanks to have heavy armor. That's what they do. They don't need to be giant tin cans, but the armor needs to look like armor. There are lots of other fantasy games that make some amazing pieces of heavy armor, and even FFXIV itself has some great examples.... yet those almost inevitably end up being the white/crafted gear and not the 'special' gear.

According to him, "Prisms cost money! So SE should make every set tailored to him so that he doesn't have to buy prisms!".I had to go and look because I haven't really paid much attention to the Lore stuff yet..

Once again, Prisms. Also, the white sets are all dyeable, so bonus for you if you love them.I'm with the OP in this. I want tanks to have heavy armor. That's what they do. There are people playing this game who choose not to glamour for one reason or another.

And that is their choice. But the option is there, as others are also pointing out.

There's plenty of heavy blue armors. Allagan, Noct, Ironworks, Valor, Dreadwyrm just to name a few.I'm with the OP in this. I want tanks to have heavy armor. That's what they do. Again, they should keep trends for respective classes and armor weights. Heavy plate / tanking classes should have heavy looking armor, not leather skinnies. That's what tank armor is nowadays.
Go back and look at level 50 tank armor sets. They're quite heavy looking. All of the armor looks metallic overall from 1-50.
It started with World of Darkness where everything started having skirts...we're in full on dresses now.

Male armor also has enlarged bust
(when I was male)
Hard to look tough with the ilvl 210 crop top as a male with a Tiara
"Midas Complete" , my character default posed like this

Are you? hes complaining that all armor sets don't match his personal taste. Also, how in the world is it a waste? It's why they give us the option to glamour, so that everyone can have the look they want... this is vertical progression, you work towards those sets for the increased stats, if you like the way they look, so much the better. If the way you look is paramount to all else, find the look you want and glamour it, or play the role that has it.Are you okay? I don't think that's at all what OP said. The point is that glamouring over a gearset that took so much time and effort to get is such a waste. Why wouldn't SE make it so that the gear just seemed the slightest bit more masculine on, well, MALE characters? To be quite honest, as a female, I have to agree with the viewpoint that it's just not quite up to par with having that badass appeal. You respond so quickly with such venom, and you let the entire point fly so far over your head.
And venom, its hard not to have a little bit of an eye roll when there are soooo many tin can sets in game. There are only so many variations you can have on a tin can, before the obvious way to branch out is to make them more fanciful. The point is not missed at all, he is too cheap to buy some glamour prisms, so he wants sets that he finds appealing and screw the rest.
Also, how is the new gear not masculine, Gordian is tin can, as well as the 220 gear, Midan is pretty bad ass, even hellfire is nice (aside from the back spikes.). Almost all of the crafted gear is tin can, also, his class, Warrior, has pretty much the most bad ass class armor in the game. So the Aery and VA sets have skirts/kilts... everything is tunring people into cross dressers!
