Phase 1 is extraordinarily tedious after a while. Even the FF6 boss music doesn't help after so long in there.

But I need that monk weapon. Even if it's gonna get replaced by the 230 in a few weeks that monk weapon is so damn good-looking it's likely gonna be my permanent glamour.

It's driving me crazy. I can't stand healing the battle, but I want him dead badly enough that I'm willing to go full masochist for it.

I pity any poor BLM in there, though.

This seems to be a consern with almost every new fight. "I think BLMs are gonna have trouble finding parties here" or "BLMs just don't work for this fight." Then after the content has been out for a bit, BLM players learn the fight more and more and this issue dissipates. Certainly, Sephi EX is a movement heavy fight, but I personally have had minimal trouble (NOT ZERO trouble lel) keeping enochian up all through even up to part way into 3rd phase. (Still haven't beaten it though XD) But further more I have witnessed other BLMs via video hold their ground just fine through the entire fight. This all being said, we BLMs will likely have to clip Eno a lot during the learning phase. XD Also mana wall is gonna be my best friend through last phase. lol (Just to be clear, I am not tryign to single you out here, your comment just set me on a tangent)

More on topic though, I REALLY want to finish this fight so I can start farming the bird and weapon, but it has been difficult to find players who have even remote amounts of experience in the fight, during the times I can play. (Usually after 12AM XD) I really wish I could DF this. The biggest issue aside from the times in which I can play, is the damage he does. I have noticed healers have it rough in this fight and it seems they pretty much need to have us topped off through most of the fight.

I have yet to attempt it, but it'll probably be awhile before I get my clear. I've only done HM three times. And I've only just cleared Bismark Ex with my FC and attempted Ravana Ex, but didn't clear Rav recently. Not have I attempted Thordan Ex yet...

It's going be hard for me to find a group that'll allow someone new. Though I'll probably wait till I can get more Prototype Midan/Lore gear first befor attempting.

Maybe one day.

Getting that too.
Waiting in my own PF for an hour finally got in, had healers with stack run to the DPS side and had people with green marker run away from the boss >.>

Still trying to clear Sepiroth extreme. Went as far to the Storm of Words than that's it. Still finding for a team to clear together.
It really is depressing but cheer up!! I am sure we can clear it

I've had a really..REALLY rough time trying to join "learning" parties in the PF.

I've only ever made it to the first set of adds once...that's how bad it is.

And it's sad because I've seen the fight so many times I know I can do the rest of it ezpz but I'm not going to lie to a group who's going for the clear or a farm or anything.

So I'm stuck joining "learning" parties that take up the entire instance timer to "learn" the very first 60 seconds of the fight.

No joke I've been in 3 different parties that took the entire instance timer without ever seeing adds.

How do you go an hour and a half without realizing where you're supposed to stack? It's so simple and I just have the absolute worst luck with groups in this fight.

I'm giving it until next reset then I'm giving up and I'll just wait until I get a lore weapon. At this point it feels really hopeless.

I know dem feels. x.x I have watched the video so many times and been through first phase/part way through last phase a few times personally and at this point I KNOW I can do the fight AND hold DPS at this point. XD If only we were on the same server. lel I would hit you up to form a party in a heart beat. x.x

I just keep my nose at the grindstone until I beat it.

Why use 205 thordan weapons when you can get a 210 eso weapon super easy?

I'm in a similar position. Have had to work a lot since the patch dropped, and made good progress in a few groups. But now I feel like my server is passing me by before I get the clear. I've yet to find a group who can make it past the ping pong phase, which makes it tough to feel comfortable enough to honestly join an "enrage or gtfo" party.

So I just keep gearing up and hoping.

Why use 205 thordan weapons when you can get a 210 eso weapon super easy?

Because I'm getting them as I get my esoteric armour for my healers (I swapped from tank main to healer main this patch and I have to get all 3 healers geared up while I find a static, figured that getting i210 armour first would be best, since the weapons aren't as good on them, plus pigeon farming and the barding for my chocobo). Once I have my armour at i210, then I'll start getting my healer weapons at i210. It just helps keep me strengthened as I'm gearing up.
