PSA you can get free tier 4 materia from old Beast Tribe quests

I think more people would be utilizing the materia slots if they could perform the melds themselves. Most jobs require 4-5 DoH jobs to be able to meld all of their gear. That's honestly a separate issue and there's a thread for that if you want to chime in.

As far as the T4s go, SE also adjusted materia transmutation. Do all the beastman dailies. Transmute any "junk" materia you get and hope to get a decent T5 that you can save for later or sell for a nice chunk of gil.

Expect most people to NOT have materia melded.
There is a 19 page topic on the issue on why most folks probably won't get melds.

(But thanks for the PSA. I had forgotten they award this. I use to farm them for Materia to sell too!)

But having it should be considered a bonus, not a requirement.

just sell them nows while people are stockpiling them for next relic quest stage lol gonna be easier to get at some point so make the most of it nows :P

Just saying tier 5 material is better then teir IV and you can get it from void ark.

Tier V is only good for the first slot or two. After that you want to go with easier to get/cheaper materia due to dropping success rates.

Every little bit of stat increase helps you preform better. It is not a good excuse saying it doesn't matter much. It just shows who cares more about being the best they can be.

We are a week into the patch now. Taking up a beast tribe to the level it gives the materia takes at least 20 days (rough count, not exact). Previously there was no real benefit of having them leveled. Take your count. You might start seeing your precious freebie IVs a bit more in few weeks time.

It's exactly 30 days I think, if I'm remembering correctly.

All 3 of the above are more then enough to have done the beast tribe quests as soon as they out I did anyway.
