It wasn't his dominant arm, but considering Raubahn used to fight with a weapon in each hand, and even a one-handed style requires the other arm for balance, there's really no good excuse for him fighting as well as he does right now.

Sadly he's popular and thus given a free pass because 'Rule of Cool'. I'm not sure why he can swing a broadsword around with one hand effortlessly whilst the other is useless. Hyur aren't that strong, surely? Raubahn losing his arm was the only lasting physical consequence in regards to the ending of 2.0...and even that didn't last. I'm very much in the camp of injuries being meaningful - because otherwise there's not much point to them. Losing a limb is a huge deal. I also dislike the idea of him gaining a mechanical arm because...do we really need another convenient plot device at the hands of Cid?
Not necessarily. Raubahn was hit with a clean (damn near surgical) cut. It would have taken some serious physical therapy, but with adequate dedication it wouldn't be surprising to see a man like that bounce back. Fighting was his life, after all. For all we know, he could very well have trained in several different disciplines of swordplay before settling on a two handed style. So, the foundation for his current style may have very well been present from the start, making the adjustment a little easier on him.
The real problem is time. Habits are deeply rooted in our brains. No matter how dedicated or talented a fighter/athlete, it takes time to rehabilitate and break certain habits (such as using your left arm, or stump in his case, to guard or strike). The thing is, we don't know exactly how much time has passed since his arm was severed. We have no real way to measure how long he was imprisoned (nor what he did while he was in prison, for that matter). We don't know how long he was on the run after we busted him out (especially curious, because he seemed to go through a remarkable recovery by the time we revive the sultana). We also don't know how much time has passed between the Sultana's revival to the melee. This could have all happened over the course of a couple of weeks, and Raubahn just shrugged off his injury (requiring us to suspend a huge amount of disbelief), or it could have happened over several long and painful months of physiotherapy (which was likely aided by lord knows what kinds of magic and mystical whatnots).
Personally, given his performance at the melee, I would be more inclined to think it's the later, simply because it's at least slightly more believable. He did admit, as well, that he was not in his top form, which leads us to believe that he might not have fully grown accustomed to one handed swordplay just yet (still in recovery, as it were). I'm still suspending some disbelief, mind you, but not nearly as much as I would be if he had, say, lost a leg or his dominant arm. In which case, there is no way that I'd believe he'd be able to recover and handle a sword that quickly.

Lets to forget that well, I very well think he fight us with everything he had. He didnt fighted like that back with Ilbred on 2.55Not necessarily. True. He was also fighting us with a clear head. When he fought us he closed the arena and singled us out for a duel. When he fought Ilbred he was overcome with blind rage. It was entertaining, but it cost him arm.

Hard me to think that he was even more stronger than that when he had both arms. But well it could be possible xD
