Roll-squatters, Loot Time Limits and those who never roll.

As a tank myself, i would have to say this is a pretty flimsy excuse when more often than not, you have to choose between greed and pass. If you need more than a GCD to know if something is going to be an upgrade or not then i dont know what to say. Arguing with a brick.

Way to go straight to ad hominem attacks, I guess? As far as rolling on the gear goes, I'm talking more about stuff in the Expert dungeons where I'm possibly looking at glamour gear and I'd like to see what it looks like or what class repairs it before I even roll on it. If I don't like it or can't desynth it, I'll simply leave it to others. I generally just pass low level gear since we can now farm specific glamour pieces solo unsynced. In any case, is it really that much of a problem for people to just let the roll time out?

Either way, if I'm after something specific, I'll happily sit on that Bolt in Midas Normal until the other 3 pieces have distributed. I can tab out and look at cat gifs on tumblr or go afk and get a drink or just sit and BS with my friends in Mumble.

I guess this must be a pretty good patch if this is the kind of thing people are inventing to complain about. xD

Purposely making people wait several minutes, in my opinion, is fairly disrespectful of their time. 3 minutes x 7 people = 21 minuets wasted.

It's honestly largely moot because I queue in a premade for Midas since DF is bad at new content. I think people going in with bad gear and pulling a subpar performance is disrespectful of people's time too, but I don't come to the forums complaining about it.

I agree that players not pulling their weight are also disrespectful, if they are playing badly due to forethought or intention. If they are just not great players, that is something else.

Similarly, if you roll slowly because of some other concern, that may be more legit. (i.e. maybe your baby started crying, maybe you have a disability, maybe a fire started in your kitchen etc etc.)

The time limit on the rolls is the same no matter how many people are in the party. Another lot doesn't suddenly add more time to the timer.
