That might work for end-of-instance loot, but that's going to result in a lot of complaints regarding mid-instance loot. I would know because I'd be one of the people making those complaints.

Frankly if you aren't rolling on loot when it shows up and 2 whole minutes is not long enough, that is your problem. People roll need for upgrades, so many, when they get it, will immediately put that item on making thier performance better. Sitting on it because you can't be bothered to hit greed is one of the most annoying things you can do to a person running dungeons for the gear.

I've seen this happen a few times in my newbie dungeons too, it doesn't bothers me too much but it's weird, why do ya all don't roll already? I understand some are all high-level and stuff and don't need the item but other folk do, just roll/pass it.

And then you have people like me that spend up to two minutes agonizing over which drop piece to get because, "boots are higher priority than accs, I know, but if I get the bolt it's a faster upgrade," or "I almost have enough lore to get that piece, but would it be better to upgrade faster or just wait..."

Plan your gear ahead. I've already planned my gearing for the next 2 months.

Frankly if you aren't rolling on loot when it shows up and 2 whole minutes is not long enough, that is your problem.

Unfortunately with many dungeons, the tank(s) are always on the go, allowing little opportunity to check the loot, see what's better/worse, see if you already have it on retainer, etc. before they've already pulled the next batch of mobs. In stuff like the 24-man raids this often results in you getting locked out of encounters. Because of this I often forget to, or simply can't check on loot right away.

And frankly, if you can't handle waiting the 5 minutes the game allots us to roll on loot, that is YOUR problem. You are free to leave the instance early if you wish.

Not a valid enough excuse to be changing the lotting rules. If you entered the instance with a certain set of gear it should be good enough to take you through the whole thing.

But sticking to a strict plan takes the fun out of weighing the pros/cons of what drops! That and I can't stick to a plan that doesn't involve combat.

I only wait in Alex NM sometimes for the other items being looted if I want something desperately as BiS (won't give a fk after this week probs) and hope that those that "just roll on anything" get any of the other items :3 usually max wait is 1min though because I get impatient then

As a tank myself, i would have to say this is a pretty flimsy excuse when more often than not, you have to choose between greed and pass. If you need more than a GCD to know if something is going to be an upgrade or not then i dont know what to say. Arguing with a brick.

Do you play on PS4 or PC? Just wondering, cuz as a PC player, I have 0 issues doing both at the same time. Wondering if it's a limitation of using a controller?
