Mormorion - what's going on?

I'm at the level of GSM where I want to make some items that contain mormorion. It appears to be the only 3.x (non airship) GSM recipe that requires Aqueous Whetstones to craft, none of the gems before or after do. Is there a reason why this level 54 recipes is gated in this way? I know aqueous whetstones are available with Company Seals but that's not the point; the point is that all other gems don't require a purchased whetstone. Celestine isn't really comparable as it's an airship drop & almost "token like", every craft job has one.

This was brought up back in July but the thread died instantly as it was a very busy time.

That's the reason I hate making Noble Gold for red scrip because of those mormorion. IMO it's not worth if you compared with Noble's Codex ingredients.

Well, GSM really isn't being picked on with that, at least. There are other recipes out there that recipe such GC items. You can also buy the stones from the Ixiel (sp?) rep vendor, I think with the tokens you get doing the higher level dailies.

MTE. And also the fact that you get more with Codex's than Golds. It's like, not only do they give you less, you have to waste precious seals on them. xD (What? I go through seals like water. Damn cordials.)
