I suggested this a long time ago. But that's a moot point now that SE seems to be focused on Feast which should have much better queues better cause cause it doesn't have GC restrictions.

We've been waiting for DC merges since PvP launched to be honest. It's a shame that they had to split them up in the first place - wish that they had a way to make it so that only PVE was split.

I'm still holding a candle that they merge servers for PvP. They said during one of their live letters that they were considering implementing a cross server Party Finder to make finding Raid and Ex Trial groups easier, so SE seems to acknowledge that limited populations and different demographics (since certain servers have a smaller fan base for certain content) is a problem for queues. They said they didn't want anyone to feel that they had to migrate to a different server just to play the content that they want to play.

Now, during this conversation, they never once mentioned PvP, but I'm really hoping that they come to this realization as things progress.
