It's how localization works. Just deal with it.Your comment seems worded in a way that makes it sound like players in China are owed something because their government places restrictions on what FFXIV can display to them. That's not SE's fault.. that's their government, and so I don't really understand why anyone would feel like SE needs to make it up them somehow. They can offer the same outfits to all their players world-wide. If someone chooses to live in a country that prevents them from getting something in a video game because of government laws, then that's the (very insignificant) cost of living in that country.
Why should the rest of us receive less because China puts censorship restrictions on its populace? I don't live in China. As a gamer I can sympathize and say it sucks for them, but I'm still paying my monthly subscription fee and would like access to the game's content.
And they can thank their government for that. That's their government's fault.. it's not SE choosing to do so. Without SE's compliance to their government's demands they would have no FFXIV at all.
I'm not sure what that has to do with SE spending development time on exclusive content just for them - my government doesn't prevent me from receiving those outfits. Instead, that's SE choosing to favor one batch of consumers over the other with a particular set of items.
I am. Telling the developers that you're not fond with how something is working is one of many ways of dealing with it.
You can choose to do nothing and just accept whatever is handed to you if that's how you prefer to deal with it. As I don't pay for your subscription, I'm not going to insist you do otherwise; hopefully you can do the same.

You don't seem to know what you are talking about. Square Enix does not develop anything for the Chinese FFXIV, Shanda Games does, because Shanda Games is localizing it. Here's an even simpler explanation: Shanda's developers made the outfits, not SE's.I'm not sure what that has to do with SE spending development time on exclusive content just for them - my government doesn't prevent me from receiving those outfits. Instead, that's SE choosing to favor one batch of consumers over the other with a particular set of items.
It's always entertaining to be told I don't know what I'm talking about by someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. Rather than parroting inaccurate information you've read in the past page or so of this thread, do your own research:
"Naoki Yoshida revealed the gender ratio in the China server is 50-50. The art team at Square Enix has dispatched some staff to China as well to gather information for designing Chinese costumes."

My comment stands. You'll probably be wanting to revise yours, though.
