Sacred Soil acting up since 3.2

Been looking on the forums and elsewhere on the interwebs and have not found anyone else complaining about this, so here goes.

I play on PS4 (if that matters). When I use Sacred Soil now, there is no targeting icon displayed (as with other aoe spells/skills that are placed). Now when I click on Sacred Soil it just puts it where I am standing. I even reviewed a video to see if the target icon is appearing and disappearing really quickly but it isn't-- its just not there anymore.

    Thoughts?

It now lands around the target but I thought you had to do a macro to specify that.

It's the intended effect of the new ground target placement when using macros. Using a /ac or /pac command instead of the raw ability button for Shadow Flare, Sacred Soil, Place, Asylum, Freeze, etc, will drop the effect on the specified target if using tags, or your hard target if no tag used.

My other issue is that it is not listed among the changes to job skills-- and to me, this is a pretty big change. If what you are saying is true, and that it now "appears" around the target you have selected, it really changes it's versatility. Im thinking specifically about all the times In A1S when I placed it in a corner we were running toward during jumps-- so handy. If a player now needs to be in the spot where you want to place it-- seems to be a bit of a nerf to how it can be used?

** just saw the links... ty Rongway-- hoping it is fixed soon!

That explains why it isn't always where I wanted it. Thanks.

So let me get this straight, I can...
/ac "shadowflare" <t> to drop it on my target or,

    /micon "Sacred Soil"
    /target <mo>
    /ac "Sacred Soil" <t>
to drop it on a party member?

    Yis.

I dunno why Sacred Soil is acting up like that if you don't have it macroed, though @_@

I have it macro'd with Fey Covenant-- (I do love this macro) But there is no targeting involved in the macro--

    /micon "Sacred Soil"
    /ac "Sacred Soil"
    /pac "Fey Covenant"

Can't recall if I have a wait time in there for Eos or not... am going to fuddle around with it tonight and see if I can get it working again. Hue hue.

I don't use macros at all on Shadow Flare or Sacred Soil. Shadow Flare acts normal with a targeting reticule and Sacred Soil centers on myself. It's not right.

That's a good improvement considering I have a macro for using that and Fey Covenant, though this means that I might have to tweak them a bit.
