I failed on my first attempt on the new striking dummy

i dont get it.

as a nin, sss is perfect, being able to fine tune the dps so that you are clearing it.

but as a tank class such as pld or drk, i can beat the dummy with a minute to spare out of grit and going dps, but it doesn't go over the threats which will require me to be in grit, moving the mob, or other such mechanics that would slow my dps.

in short, dps and tanking objectives aren't meshing as well. how can i use this better as drk?
