You're correct that's not enough to redesign but I was primarily talking about the scaling factor. Many people were discussing the size of certain items (bow) being too large. The patch is released in a week.
That's not enough time to go through and redesign every drop.
As much as I don't care for the look, I can live with it and appreciate the fact that it could be much worse.
EDIT: Someone else already brought this up that I didn't read before posting, my bad.

You know ppl...
We might actually KILL ,canonically, IFRIT. Hence the look of the weapons...
Do you have any idea of what this means to the story of eorzea?!?! We will kill the first primal.
This might lead to us joining the Empire...or being hunted down by other tribes!

I just Realised what the BlueBall on the THM weapon could be.
Poor THM's having to walk around with that.
I'm waiting to see if its that though out or not. Or if the Lore/stroy will just ignore that part.

Negative:
+1 to some of the gear being way too chunky/big. Seriously, what is up with that hideous PUG weapon.
Positive:
Axe and Lance done right. Glow done right.
Or when we kill him his spirit is released and returns to the big dragon in Mor Dhona that causes him to stir slightly as he becomes closer to resurrection. Once all the released primals are defeated the dragon rises up from his grave and destroys the entire Garlean empire because.... y'know... he's kinda angry that they killed him.

I think he still lives in the different dimension, but his physical form is lost until the next summoning brings him another body. That is why, in my opinion, Garlemald want to wipe out the beast tribes so they can't summon or resummon Eikons
Go crawl into a hole and burn
I think everyone needs to take a step back and realize, art is subjective, there is no perfect design that everyone loves. But i will applaud variety, the more different types of weapons the better, then people can use what they like and say screw everyone else.oh ffs, art is about as subjective as they come, one does not need to be a master artist to be able to voice their opinion on what looks good or not good to them. Yes, I realize that there's been plenty of ridiculous whines on these forums over ridiculous things, but you QQing about people having actual differing opinions on an artistic design isn't any better.
Nooooo, subjective really HAS become a buzzword!
We've created a monster! A MONSTER I SAY!!!

That's a good way to think about it. I think that dragon is Shinryu.Or when we kill him his spirit is released and returns to the big dragon in Mor Dhona that causes him to stir slightly as he becomes closer to resurrection. Once all the released primals are defeated the dragon rises up from his grave and destroys the entire Garlean empire because.... y'know... he's kinda angry that they killed him.
