R.I.P slaying accessories on tanks

RIP my slaying gear. At least my monk can use it!
*sigh* healers that can't tell the difference between "STR tanks" and "bad tanks" detected. :|
I think you overestimate the "slow" part. Damage difference is likely not going to be noticeably different with the bad tanks, so I doubt it'd be much in the way of being slower... unless you relied on tank damage for content (which outside of progression, you really shouldn't).
While it won't fix bads (Really, will anything? If someone wants to be bad, they are gonna be bad.) it will mean they can have more hp and deal their ideal amount of damage too. They will still get a damage buff for wearing VIT just like they did STR (though slightly lower then 1:1), but now they only need 1 set of jewelry. No more needlessly expensive overmelded jewelry for you guys. CELEBRATE !@#$%^
/shrug even if its not slower. People arent gonna be sitting in cleric stance regardless.I think you overestimate the "slow" part. Oh don't get it twisted. I've supported this change in the tank forums since someone thought it up. It's necessary and a good thing. However, the problem is that it will not fix tanks and make them somehow more durable. A couple K HP in the lvl 60 environ is not gonna change a whole lot. While it won't fix bads (Really, will anything? if i recall DPS will only be lowered slightly. seems liike people here think the vit/str changes meaning they will lose a ton of DPS. if anything i would think its a good thing. you get more health and lose a little but of damage. and no more of those fabled healers not liking vit tanks. (p.s. no more making fun of vit tanks)
My thoughts :\
Could be bad healers too, but I don't mean to judge either player. Wasn't there, so can't say.
I know from my experience as a healer, that I never once had an issue with STR tanks. I have had issues with tanks pulling abysmal damage (most likely VIT tank, but I didn't check). It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
We had a fun run; prior to 3.0, it was a small niche group of us. Started with a slaying ring to go with the fending ring, then a crit/det earring here, a pentamelded bracelet there. Finally saying "eff it, let's dance!" and using a Hymn to drop all those allocated points into strength. Honestly, 3.0 killed it for us, became so mainstream and commercialized. All the hipsters started buying up the pentamelds, flogging non str tanks with lines such as, "do you even Slay, bruh?". When I saw the Pepsi ad with a Str-decked Warrior I knew then the dream was over.
Fellow Pioneers! I salute you; we took the game and flipped it upside down. We were the rebels, defying Loot roll reqs and gearing through Greed, making Healer's sweat a little before commencing, showing the world, "We are the few! The Proud! the Right side Parry-less!" and though what we accomplished will fade into history, we will never forget the way we told the institution to go eff itself: We are FFXIV Tanks, and we don't need your HP padding!
Bye bye to all of the excellent STR tanks who could stance dance with great skill, hold aggro and manage cooldowns <3
I'LL MISS ALL OF YOU
