I entered Library as lv 58 Machinist. [...] check the dragoon's gear... only to notice there's a couple of blue gear, no HQs at all of crafted gear, and a level 50 weapon... A second later my screen darkens and I get the message "You've been dismissed from the party, and from the duty."

And that's how I was kicked out of a dungeon for the first time in my 2 years of playing ff14. My blood is still boiling from the whole incident. ><;;;

Wow, that sucks ;_; When the other dps had lower gear and all. I mean, it's possible it was a friend of theirs and they were hoping to get an over-geared dps to carry said friend through, but...

Also, I'm really amazed at how you managed to enter the Library at level 58! =O That's some serious skillz, dude!

OOPS! Edited level! Haha. 8 or 9, what's the difference! Krhm! Yeah, probably the carrying was the case, since the dungeon caps at 60. Meh. ;;

Tried to level my my MCH yesterday. Got Stone Vigil three times, two of them being horrible and very short runs, since I had to leave both parties before we even got to the first boss.
Both tanks couldn't hold aggro for the love of Halone. I know, I know, SV can be hard for new, undergeared tanks, but both of them didn't even seem to care. Most of the time they just concentrated on one monster, while the others happily slayed our healers. After three wipes in the first run my Co-DPS left and I followed shortly after, since I knew this run wasn't going anywhere.

What made me really mad was the second run, where our tank was still a Gladiator. After a few wipes someone in my group asked them why they didn't change their class, that they'd be much better with their specific job and so on. Tank tells us that they know, but:



Wait. WAT PLZ. What was that even supposed to mean?
The rest of the group kicked them of course, but left shortly after.

At least the last run was pretty nice and I even managed to get to level 45, but all that trouble really annoyed me.

Had a pretty bad Arboretum run, and it was pretty much mostly my fault.

The tank was doing rather huge pulls, and the party was doing the honeycomb skip method. One of the bees stung right as I healed him, so he survived that, then the second one came right when all the others monsters used their burst abilities like a split second before, so it was pretty much timed so that it was impossible to top off the tank before it hit. Wiped there.

Then a second huge pull that I'd done before plenty of times, the second one right after the bee queen with all the bears and everything. Kept the tank up for about a minute, then the CDs ran out and the tank somehow took like 80% damage in a second. No problem, I was prepared for this, right? Hit benediction, nope, tank dies right as benediction reaches him. :/

The whole party ragequit on me after that. I feel like crawling in a corner and crying.

Don't blame yourself. People will ragequit over stupid things. None of these DPS stepped up to stun the bee casting Final Sting, none of these tanks choose to time their invincibility to handle the mechanic. People dump it on the healers and the onus comes to be on them - and that's something I find sickening and absurd.

So dont' blame yourself. You did your best. It's not your fault they decided to ragequit. And hopefully your party recovered after. Were I around when this happened, I'd come in there and show you what a real tank does. >

Had a tank rage quit over the weirdest thing just now in The Vault.

Boyfriend and I were finishing two of our awoken relics so we went into the last dungeon.

The tank couldn't really hold hate on anything...don't know why....we were managing though.

At the beginning of the dungeon tank was afk when the barrier went down, we waited about a minute for him to start pulling, but np.

After first boss (which was messy with my BF getting hate on the boss and almost dying) the tank goes afk with no word again for over a minute. No one says anything we just wait. He finally starts up the stairs.

Now after a couple more pulls he goes afk for the third time with no word for 2 minutes so I finally ask him if there is a reason for so many random afk and not telling us anything (I asked politely nothing rude). I mean he is playing with other human beings here and we are trying to play not stand around. If he has to afk I have no problem with it if he just types something but he is not bothering to say "brb" or "sry hold on" you know common courtesies.

Well I guess I pissed him off cause he went on a bit of a rant and then up and rage quit the dungeon all because I asked him why he kept afking without just letting us know with a quick "brb" etc.

Gawd these people rage so fast, he acts like I jumped on him the minute he afk'd for a second. He did it 3 times before I decided to ask him. Like really. Well we got another tank almost immediately and finished the dungeon no problem so I guess it's too bad he decided to get so mad at me for asking a legit question and nicely ask him to just let us know with a "brb".

Friends and I do 50 roulette with me tanking. One random DPS.
We get Halatali, which is fine, whatever. DPS are NIN and BLM, my friend. Other friend is WHM.
Hate is all over the place. I can't hold a damn thing against my BLM friend. Eventually we wipe and my healer friend just says to me "Uh...shield oath?"

I wanted to smack myself.

Wow, just wow. Was in a Sohm Al run and had a DPS with some MAJOR Rage issues, was called things like faggot and asked why I wasn't aborted O.o. All because He pulled threat off me during the last boss when I was moving him. LOVE THEM GIANT EPEENS lol

Also because of WV he kept singing Army's Paeon since he was hemorrhaging TP.
