It's not like the weapons glow for no reason. They're made from the horns of Ifrit. I'd say that's a justifiable reason for a little flair on a hardmode reward.

Some people just can't be happy with anything.

Glowing weapons I can take, even in an FF, if done tastefully .. these weapons are anything but tasteful when it come to their hugely exaggerated size, they're completely implausible as weapons, especially the Pugilist's. The designs are fine, more or less (though the bow is a bit OTT) but their size is appalling.

They'd not look out of place in WOW, and that's a terrible thing to say about an item from FF.

Unrealistically large or implausible weapons in a Final Fantasy game?! Stop the presses guys, we have to make sure this never ever happens! I mean it's not like Tidus had a sword made of water or anything, or that Lulu attacked things with a doll. I mean we all know everything in a FF game, especially the weapons, have to be 100% plausible and realistic as weapons in our world.
