Hard Mode is simply the higher level fight. Remember there is gonna be Level 30 and Level 50, (or was it 25 and 45?) i can't remember lol.

Maybe hard mode is like the final chest in DD where you have to meet certain conditions to spawn it? :P

He did warn us to forsake the summoning of another or he would rip our heads off, maybe that could be it
Then again someone already said he fights us because we are trying to find the Paragon Ifrit talked so much about, whoever or whatever he is

Well, now HCs might be rejoicing. Big shiny weapons to stay in active mode in Ul'dah. I must agree with some comments regarding them looking more like korean MMO stuff than FF weapons. Now the next step is making weapons having some kind of aura based on tier...+1 pops green smoke, +2 are blazing and +3 have a fallic image flying above the player and pooping glitter!

I think you're over-reacting a bit here. They have a subtle ember glow on certain parts. It's not like they can guide offshore ships to land or anything. Also FF games have had some pretty obnoxious looking weapons in the past, it's not like everything needs to be super realistic and bland looking.

Now why isn't IGN and other site reporting news on the Ifrit Battle hmm? If that video alone can sell the game to people, I think it's more news worthy than the cheap shot after mentioning the Chocobos and Airships.

Use wikipedia, that's what I use when I want to know something about a game. They give much more in-depth information about video games than any game review website
