Foe Requiem simply reduces the magic resistance of all nearby enemies by 10%, 20% when used with Battle Voice. It's usually the only song you'll find yourself using since it's not often that you'll need to help anyone out with MP or TP. Even if you're in a party with DPS whom you don't believe to have magic-based attacks, use it anyways since you'll often find that Healers themselves contribute to damage, and even if they don't, it's no real loss on you anyways - especially if you play it before everyone begins attacking. Just be careful about aggro'ing enemies because that song is treated as an attack on them. So long as they're chasing the tank you're fine, even if he hasn't hit them yet. It may take a little bit of time for you to get used to lagging a little behind or remembering to turn the song off in order to avoid doing so, but don't fret if you do. Just apologise if it causes any trouble since it's an honest mistake.
Barrage basically offers triple potency of the very next skill that you use - with some exceptions. In other words, it's like using three of that skill all at once. Empyreal Arrow is your strongest skill that can retrieve Barrage's effects and has a short cooldown so you should always line the two up in content that allows it, otherwise use it with Heavy Shot as stated by Lulu Nami.
Wide Volley and all other oGCD skills are excluded from that list.

Strictly speaking Empyreal Arrow is an oGCD that works with Barrage. It just has a cast time.
Before you learn Empyreal arrow, the strongest attack you can use barrage with is actually Haymaker.
Getting a Haymaker proc to line up with your opening burst, or any time barrage comes off cooldown, isn't likely to happen all that often... but still!
Wouldn't have ever thought to CC Haymaker to even try this...but I guess if you're lucky then yeah it'd be pretty strong.

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.

The only time it would be useful is for gazes so...in world of darkness?

Also on Thordan Ex and Void Ark, I tend to line up a buffed Haymaker right after Dragon's gaze as part of my oGCDs

Were getting Esuna with warden's paeon in next patch![]()
