I may be wrong here, but to chime in on the PLD contributing more to raid DPS discussion:

We know that in a week that VIT will be the primary tank damage stat, and unless I'm mistaken, PLD naturally has the highest VIT stat of the three tanks. Wouldn't this change in itself place them higher up the DPS scale without having to make anything other than very minor changes to the skill set? Note: I can't speak with real authority on this thought as I only played WAR high enough to get Mercy Stroke and only just started playing PLD more seriously and am only lv50 as opposed to 60 on DRK.

prolly because Ariyala's site has PLD base VIT at 293 and DRK/WAR at 288 (highlander)

but a +5 on VIT would still keep PLD in 3rd for damage, (and still 3rd by a mile in tanks stance)

From the typical max HP stats of the three tanks. As I understand it, WAR gets its HP boost from a stance not from increasing the actual VIT rating, and DRK sacrifices some of their VIT for an increase in PIE to use their abilities on their base stats, or at least that's how I understood it.

Oh this I know, I'm not talking about using PIE as any of your stat allocation points or your gear, but I'm talking about raw base stats. DRK has higher base PIE and thus more MP than the other two tanks because they have to in order to use their moves. They also have lower VIT and thus HP because of their ability to syphon off HP from enemies. Similarly WAR gains more HP through activating a stance rather than raw base stats before any equipment is considered. This is what I'm referring to with PLD having more VIT and thus having the potential for a larger DPS boost before any other changes are considered with this new patch.

They all have the same amount of VIT at 60 (249 for me). WAR has 130hp more than PLD/DRK, but that's tiny and incredibly irrelevant.

Like I said, maybe I was wrong. I've noticed that vastly varying amounts of HP from tank to tank, but that also is dependent on if it's a VIT or STR statted tank, as well as I only have one tanking job at 60, so couldn't do a direct comparison.
