Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.

You have to love it, player is probably like, "Hurr, Everyone is so dumb, I never run out of MP! I can DPS forever! All these dummies getting low mp using stupid fire!"
My favourite bit is Manawall because with a bad ass rotation like that you just know you're gonna be tanking!
I just got out of this one and needed to vent, because I'm still shaking.
Decided to play pugilist, got to lv18, queued for leveling roulette and got sastasha. We stood around and waited for a good 30 seconds. Drk asks for protect. Sch says they don't have protect at such a low level. Newbie archer decides to start attacking the first set of bats and immediately runs around like a headless chicken. Drk does absolutely nothing. In fact, the drk does absolutely nothing for nearly the entire run, claiming "I don't have any skills at such a low level" and "I don't have provoke or flash". Sch is the heal spammy kind of healer despite their fairy being able to solo heal the entire dungeon in normal circumstances (it turns out their first crossclassed skill was swiftcast... arcanist doesn't get Resurrection until 22...)
Everyone is tanking except the tank, basically. Archer continues to "kite" mobs they have aggro on despite me and the sch telling them at least 5 times to stop running around. I even tried to vote dismiss the drk before the second boss because they're clearly trolling, but it was rejected. Third boss, the tank went in, aggro'd, then walked out. Me and the sch stayed out. Archer ran in, got locked in there, died, and stayed dead on the floor for a good minute until they were told to release. And they sprint all the way back instead of using the shortcut.
It's only until the last set of mobs in the dungeon that the tank finally starts using skills (making sure to leave the mob the archer is attacking untouched so they keep running around). And they made sure to crossclass flash, too. On a drk. They were lv60 and using the thex weapon so they definitely knew better, but I guess they just decided to make a 15-20 minute run be at least twice as long.

Wow. That DRK is a straight up Dick Knight. :\
Most SCH (and some ASTs too) have Cleric as their first cross class. Eos/Selene can easily solo heal up until Haukke, so for the first few dungeons a SCH is worth more as an extra DPS than an afk healer... as a level 60 with a Thordan weapon, you'd think that DRK would understand that. Smh.
I'm surprised the kick didn't go through. I would have kicked him 400x over. I'm so sorry.
PF, not DF but have to say it.
I'm pretty new to savage myself, first time I bothered was yesterday (but yay I cleared). So I join a learning party today, with the hopes of refining it. I ask the other healer if they want to dps faust, or me.
"I don't dps."
I had a sinking feeling right there. It works in dungeons, but come on, this is a Savage learning party, people have to be willing to play to the best of their class, or at least try to.
So I try to dps on Faust, but I have to keep dropping cleric to heal the tank, and have to stay permaheal from 50%, in the end tank dies, and we barely kill Faust with two dps left standing.
Then I try to dps until split, but the SCH is reactively healing everything and I have to go back to heal immediately. Things start going bad after .5 and admittedly a poorly timed assiez from me screws us (I did call it though and apologize, I will admit my mistakes). Tank leaves and we're done.(she had mentioned dps was like 0 so I suspect she knew exactly what it was and left, but come on "learning party")
It's bad enough when people won't play their whole job in end game, but when you can't play the core function of it well, it hurts.

To be fair, when you first step into Savage (and are maybe new to progression raiding), it's okay even as a SCH to focus on healing, then gradually shift to primarily DPSing (especially if both healers are new and not used to the timings yet). However, it sounds more like they refuse to DPS in general, and from what you described about their healing abilities, they probably just were a shitty player.
Hope you can find a better learning party next time.

Oh I definitely took it as "I don't dps at all." Instead of "I'm new, so I would prefer not to dps yet".To be fair, when you first step into Savage (and are maybe new to progression raiding), it's okay even as a SCH to focus on healing, then gradually shift to primarily DPSing (especially if both healers are new and not used to the timings yet). Especially since I'm almost positive they are a forum member who is quite against dps and parsers and all things that push people to play better.
Ty, I know I'll get a good team, I just got a new fc and am getting back into raiding a bit.
