ALC - usually has the Nobel Codex or Nobel Gold, all mats can be gathered by a miner retainer.
What about blues then so I can get the books themselves quicker and start making the high value red items?

Blue turn-ins vary significantly more often than Reds do. When I did them as an example, Titanium Alembic, was on special turn-in. I made several of them but could not turn them all in before the window ended. I held on to the others "until the next time". I held those Alembics for 4 weeks and never once did Titanium Alembic return as Blue script turn-in. Eventually, I had to just let them hit the floor.

More generally speaking though, Blues are going to be about level 56-58 mats; Titanium, Hardsilver, Dragon Skin, Dark Chestnut, some Adamantite.
IMO, Hallowed anything, is just not worth the effort.

effort... or price. worth neither. Seriously, 3k per mistletoe from NPC? And it's unspoiled so it's annoying enough to make you buy it.

Indeed! Hallowed Chestnut Wand is on special today for ALC & I'm only doing it because map drops gave me 40 HQ Hallowed Chestnut Lumber, 11 HQ Hardsilver Ingots & Growth Formula Epsilon is a 51 craft. It's my first Blue Scrip, & first ever time making collectables, so thought I'd give it a shot whilst on bonus.

If it wasn't on bonus & I had to make the mats from scratch then I'd not choose anything Holy or Hallowed as Mistletoe is just a pain to get, even though I have a lvl60 Botanist.

All the mats can be gathered by retainers. The only mat that has a timer is gold but miner retainers can get that. Hell, they'll gather 10 for you and you only need 1 per nugget so one venture is all that's needed.

You can go the ultra cheap way and just do the ingredient route for blue scrips. I leveled all my craft classes that way and came away from thousands of blue scrips. XD Even after buying the books and replacement gear. It would be time consuming BUT if you're also doing SB stuff with the neck/brac and doing all that by hand because of the huge fail rate (some 30%), this could work for you. Especially if you gather the mats yourself. You don't get much but they're really easy to make.

I did the birch composite bow this week. Starred it's a whopping 55 red scrips. 8 crafts plus 3 birch lumber or something and you're good for the week. Noble's codex is another winner

I just did 9 Adamantite Barreled Culverins today. 54 Red Crafting Scrip apiece at max today.

Sure, it took 27 Adamantite Nuggets, which means 135 Adamantite Ores, but I gather Adamantite Ore when I go gathering the Chysashl Collectible for my Red Gathering Scrip, so I have plenty Adamantite Ores on hand. Everything else my retainers can get, or more accurately, restock.

I gave up on the Hallowed Chestnut Wand idea once I realised that I'd need almost 150 ice trap leaves. I was not down for that. Sometimes it's the lower level additional components that kick you. XD

    hi =)
i am omni mastercrafter, i prefer always to do my red scripts with CRP because the stuff which need for are easy to gathering and is not worth much.
i wouldnt use something with Adamantite because is just to worth.
all my red script crafts are always 100% HQ from NQ items via macro crafting

    regards small hobbit =)

So depending on what u like:
-fast and someway expensive: finished materials, check over 40-50 red scrips materials, as said alc noble codex and noble gold one of the easiest, also birch rod from crp, if starred are awesome.
    -slow but cheap
titanium ingot, birch lumber are the best for red scrips, also citrine not bad
for blue titanium nugget is my preffered.
