so the trailer of 3.2 got released, and we can see a glimpse of Sephirot's duty background.

Apparenty, we are the ones releasing it. But for what purpose ? And what happened about the tree tribe who was supposed to have summoned it ? I thought you had to keep their believers alive to maintain a primal into existence ?

Many more questions, and I feel that not many (if any) will be answered.

It seems we have voice acting on the warring triad quests

I was not expecting Sephirot's Limit Break atack. It really reminds you why he is part of the warring triad. Seriously? Is anyone here going to said that the Warring Triad is not much more stronger than Bahamut? Common!

Judging by that voice ( I think you all would agree of who he is ). I think Sephirot's escape was inminent. We just controled his releasing so we might have an advantaje?
Is better to be aware and be prepared than an unexpected atack.

Was thinking it was Alisaie, rather than Not-Elidibus... Though for the life of me I cannot remember her voice (granted voice actors have a habit of changing anyway)... That could be an interesting play though, considering she saw Urianger with Elidibus, and Not-Elidibus makes it clear the Triad should not be released... We end up releasing them because the Ascian doesn't want them released... I'd imagine we could return a nice chunk of aether to Hydaelyn by defeating the Triad, and just like Bahamut, we don't really have to worry about anyone bringing them back... Wait, we're getting an Extreme encounter with him... How the hell will that work?

Isn't he directly referred to as such though? Just off the journal;

"Arriving in the solar of the Rising Stones, you are greeted by a masked boy, who introduces himself as Not-Elidibus."

Granted, he could be extremely effeminate, but I don't think he'd get that involved with Eikons... The journal also says Urianger is preparing measures to take against the Triad, and Alisaie is his little helper...

Unless the tree-thingies from the arboreticum are his new people, somehow. That would be lame though.

Would be interesting if we DON'T defeat him imo (strictly speaking. Slay the beast and done).

Like a trial akin to Ramuh, to determine whether we are worthy of his time or not. And the prize is more in-depth informations about the allags, the ancient times, Hydaelyn and such, by accessing the memories of his believers through him. So the HM trial would give us access to his knowledge of the past, the primals, and everything he might know, and the Ex would be a test of strengh to know if we have what it takes to handle the rest, aka Fiend and Goddess, and whatever comes after, the ancient gods laying underground (Tiamat's words iirc ?) and what have you.

This is hopeful speculation based on the fact that he is seemingly maintained in Eorzea without any believers, so he might have a way to exist apart from the way we know, just like Zantetsuken continues to exist even though there isn't anyone to believe in it strictly speaking.

If you want my guess, we're going to release Sephirot early so he's not as powerful. If we let him out now, instead of being so powerful we can't stop him, Sephirot will be at a more manageable power level that we actually can overcome. Something like the Warring Triad, who individually are likely on par with Bahamut, should be dealt with using care, but sometimes the only option is to throw yourself to the wolves...

... lots more to discuss with the trailer, but with the story segment being so short it's kind of hard. Worst fears realized?

the voice sounds like a girl no matter in which language you watch it.

if it is Alisaie the quests seems to continue where that last scene of 3.1 has ended. but then it meant that the MSQ is split now. the over arching Ascian plot being one part and the Dragonsong war/Niddhog with rescuing Minfilia tied into, the other part...

Sephirot just seems too big of a threat to be dealt with in a side-story

But considering that there is voice acting on side-story thats is not inside the MSQ. This gonna be really worthly.
