Anyone else considering changing jobs in 3.2?

Ugh, I am in a predicament.

I recently had a TON of irl friends join the game (like 12) and they wanna raid. And at least three of them picked up healers and two want to main SCH, which is my main. And I'm already at 60 like...well, I don't have anything to do while they level up besides level up something else.

BUT I can't decide what. I basically don't care what I play as long as I'm playing with friends but I need to pick something to fill the hole in the comp. We're lacking in DPS but I can't get anyone who's playing DPS to commit to a specific job they're all still like experimenting.

We have one committed BRD and she's on frequently enough I don't feel like we'll need a backup support range. And I have the SMN leveled already if nobody wants to cast, so I could just learn how to play it. SO I think the most effective thing to do would be to level a Melee DPS.

BUT I CAN'T PICK. Ninja is fun to play and brings a lot of utility. DRG also utility and best glams but lots of people are interested in it and I'm sure someone else will settle on it. MNK right now is getting little to no love from the group, but it's probably the one I'm attracted to least. It also doesn't synergize with a static very well.

SO torn.

I'm actually kinda wondering what the PLD changes will be, I main AST atm, I'm perfectly happy with AST, but if buffs are coming that's great, but sometimes after months of playing the same role...I really like to mix things up.

I feel like I'm kinda obligated in myself to stick to PLD after being stubborn for so long, and now they (potentially) fix it

It's hard to change your main job when you play everything... Also I can't make a judgement call on what jobs to play in 3.2 when I haven't seen what specific adjustments they're making other than the VIT change and Shuffle being replaced.

Warrior/Monk/Paladin healing abilities don't scale with STR spcifically, they scale with the Physical Attack Power stat.

I don't know if I will change my class completely, but I main DRG right now and have been off and on considering swapping to MCH since 2.57. I love the idea of a gunner class, I'm just more efficient and geared as a DRG.

I've mained Bard since 2.2 but I recently joined a static that already had a Bard, so I've been healing as AST. Now it's at the point where I'm contemplating abandoning the Bard relic quest I took to upgrade my AST relic first. It's definitely a tough call to make!

I tend to only play in the evenings and mostly hang out at my FC house if I'm not in duty. I should brave the wide world more often! XD I'll send a /wave your way if I spot you!

As for MCH, I think you should totally go after it if you want to--especially since they're making some upgrades to that class with 3.2, now seems like a great time to be jumping on board.
