I am still enjoying this game and looking forward to 3.2

3 days ago I renewed my subscription, logged in and started having fun in FFXIV.

I levelled my WAR, did some A2S practice with my raid and had some laughs in chat when we reminded our BRD that his relic is a harp. Our only lament is we haven't cleared Thordan EX yet.

The game is not dying, it's raid scene might be but they'll be back. They always come back. Who else is still enjoying the game?

Same. I thought I would be a bit burnt out after getting my Anima but....
not really. Trying to get all those pesky folklore books I skipped out on, and helping people level and such.

I'm still happy about it. Sure I'm growing annoyed at leveling thauma because I hate casters but need swiftcast for my healers. I get annoyed at the dps healer meta, but beyond those minor annoyances I still enjoy the game. I'm taking my time, doing what i want and not feeling obligated to rush to max or rush anything else. I level what I feel like, do what I feel like and BS in the front lawn of my FC. Overall I enjoy the game still and greatly look forward to more.

I'm definitely still enjoying myself. I'm quite excited for 3.2, as I think there's a lot to look forward to: a high end raid that's not grossly overtuned, dyable Allagan and High Allagan gear, more powerful crafted gear, the start of a Triad of primals (which reminds me a bit of the original three for 2.0), uncapped Esoterics (which will let me collect the variety of pieces I want for glamours) and of course, the continuation of Anima in 3.25.

Its funny how this repeating cycle of people complaining about stale content and the game being dead happens every patch and noone seems to catch on this recurring phenomenon. Its completely natural and not necesarily a bad thing. Plenty of people get bored, and go play other games. Cancelling their subscription depending on how long theyll be gone. Then come back when the patch hits. That makes them smart consumers.

Oh I'm well aware, I know people in my FC that have maxed everything finished all reputations and already have 4 60 relics. They just ran out of things to continue doing. So I can fully understand the lack of enjoyment for sum. For me I don't rush into things and take my time to try to avoid that.

The thing is to take the content at your own pace and take breaks if you're not having fun.
I still have lots of fun gearing and doing PvE, but am also an altaholic with 5 different characters and mostly spend my time doing RP, glamour and taking photos. Which are independent of any new content.

But I can also see how the game might get stale more easily to someone who is online several hours a day and rushes through content during that time.
I'm also online vast quantities of time, actually xD
But since I do so many different things, it's hard for me to run out of things to do^^

I still enjoy playing XIV. Though I do take breaks and play other MMOs to keep the one I'm currently investing my time and interest in from feeling like a job (ie, player burnout and I was experiencing it after 7 years of WoW and it's community). Luckily for me Diablo 3 season 5 and BnS are keeping my interest in XIV alive.
