I love the game, I spend most my time in Limsa chatting with friends. Making Battlecraft gear for new players when I see them running around with half field craft stuff on. And got tons of other crafter classes I havnt gotten to 60 yet. FF14 has tons of content, most those Salty players are just number crunching raiders who cant appreciate the other content the game offers.

    Such generalisation, very wow.

I'm technically a raider, but I do all kinds of content. I do chocobo racing, play triple triad, craft, gather, collect minions ... and at this point? I'm pretty bored. I spent all my time online yesterday crafting 500 HQ mythril ingots because I just didn't have anything else to do and it's work towards an achievement. I've done an anima weapon and have three anima bases.

The problem comes down to how fast content in this game becomes stale. I do like the Saucer attractions (except LoV which is boring) but I've done them all so many times by now it's hard to keep the excitement level the same. And yes, raiding sucks right now. The joys of being stuck on A3S with no tangible progression for 3 months.

I've noticed that the game is more empty generally lately. Queue times even for tanks on my server aren't so fast anymore, less people running around, less people online in my fc to run stuff with. This long, long season with nothing new to do (anima doesn't count as it was a rehash and the last patch's other content could be finished in maybe an hour excluding the DoA Lord of Verminion) has been very bad for the game, and it worries me. I do love this game, and I'm hoping 3.2 will turn things around because otherwise I think a lot of my friends are going to quit =(

Since it's your opinion, you can call them salty, including myself, much as you want.
I'm not sure you read my own thread or not on this forum, but I'm pretty sure I'm one of those ''salty'' people you talk about. Which is indeed fine. I do appreciate what they do, keep in mind.I will leave a quote I read earlier and I'm 99% sure this is true, because I did read this somewhere as well few months ago:

I remember that in an interview, the question of playing other (online) games when there was nothing to do was brought up and Yoshi was asked for his opinion. He basically said yeah go do it.
    This is their business model.
Calling people salty, because they disagree with you, or you don't like what certain players think about the game currently is, is all on you. I would NEVER tell a person to quit the game or just leave because I think the game isn't where it's supose to be at. This would only come from a person who sees players leave, then call them salty. I love the community, I love my fc, linkshell and friends, but that's not enough for me to sub extra 2 months, because all I will do is socialize. Yes i've done most of the stuff already as well. Wish you good luck in game

I think my sub rolls over for another six months this month which will throw me up to the tantalus armor vet reward thing.

I dunno there's always things to do in game and the sub is kinda cheap so I don't mind just keeping it up. You get cute outfits and stuff occasionally, and I've never been deadly bored with the game?

My life while tanking is an existential hell from which there is no escape.

Still enjoying myself, incoming Tank changes gave me some reason to finally push my PLD up again. Course this comes immediatly after finally pushing my first 60 (Drk), was focused on crafting for a while since I'm OCD about keeping my Crafting and combat classes close in level, then the Hinterlands material wall happened.

Indeed, I'm l9oking forward to 3.2 and beyond. Sometimes I wonder whether I am playing the same game as many posters on this forum.

I'm VERY excited for 3.2! I can understand some people's burnout, but I've not reached that point yet myself, I still log in and do the things I love to do (roulettes, leveling, beast tribes, etc) I think it all depends on how you approach the game, OP. If you are willing to look for those little adventures, you'll find a lot of enjoyment, if you only focus on one or two things, and only while it "benefits" you to do it, you're going to be miserable.

They say the mind can be the best weapon, that goes both ways. If you allow yourself to be happy, you will be more often than not, but if you go around and only look at the bad, you'll only ever find negative things about anything.

I was very disappointed with 3.1, so I am keeping my expectations for 3.2 in check.

However, having just got back into raiding, there is Midas to look forward to. Was never a fan of Gordias, so we'll see how Midas goes.

There's also Feast. I need to know more about it, but I am excited to get back into Wolves Den with my friends. Way back in early 2.xx we did a lot of WD together. Unfortunately I feel behind due to raid, and lost interest in continuing.
With rankings being reset for the seasons, now seems the perfect time to dive back in.

So if all goes well, 3.2 will be really good for me.

still enjoying it and sure i will keep enjoying it for a long time. unfortunately not everyone of friend and in the fc feels the same, so you are limited by what you can do which in the end means a bit less enjoyment for myself.
I hope some friends come back with 3.2 though
