I don't think anyone deserves anything from SE. They can do w/e they want. If it wasn't for them Might not even be playing an MMO right now.

I don't understand entitlement to someone's product. They make what they want. You either support it with cash or you don't. I can't tell you how many times I've wrote fictional stories to have plot requests. If you don't like the current plot, write your own or find a new story to read.

Just wanted to throw in my vote:

I like racial and gender differences in the clothing. And the job gear too, for what its worth. It makes our characters unique.

I don't like the fact that it's pretty one-sided in favor of females right now. I wish the males got more exclusive options too. A comparable amount.

The hat thing is stupid. It's one color on one tiny part. It looks almost identical to some other hats that are genderless. The ribbon can be /visor'd away. This is not the hill to die on.

Did it ever occur to people that it's gendered because it's a couples event? It kinda makes sense in a way.

You said it all, specially with that line, this is a fantasy world with a story, a background, a lore and setting behind it, it has rules, it's not a sandbox game that you can do whatever you want to do, you got real life for that and other games. Let this be the Final Fantasy it's meant to be.

I don't care for much for the OPs topic but this has to be the worst argument ever.

you're essentially saying you can't complain about something unless others are.

One person complains. The entire community is complaining according to you. Also way to judge a group of people on one person. Real mature.

    *sigh*

iIf you want to prove that males can wear 'skirts', it's easier than that. Kilts. They're nothing more than pleated woolen knee length skirts worn by men.

    See...

(I would suggest not questioning their masculinity because they wear a 'skirt'....)

Swing those pleats boys, and let's not forget the traditional way to wear a kilt....

The thing is, variety is the spice of life. Uniformity is anti-variety. If everyone were able to wear everything, we would lose some of the variation of look within the game. There need to be looks that are only female, or only male. That said there are things I would like to use on Kosmos that are Hyur specific, but I deal with it. More important to me would be dyeable RSE.

That said, long before gender locking or racial locking of garments is removed, I'd like to see class/job restrictions on gear removed - and dyeable RSE...

i am curious as to all the people "requesting" this thread be locked (as if that will stop people from complaining. they are essentially asking a moderator to close this thread to stop people from expression there opinions.

Well I can agree with it being rediculous that a hat has to be gender locked, but by now I'm kinda used to bad, how shoud I call it... cusomer service when it comes to pretty much everything anyways.
I would lie if I said I never pressed the "Try on" button on a dress before and was a little disappointed when it didn't work, even though I wouldn't actually stuff my characters into dresses permanently so it doesn't actually affect me. But I really want the bunny ears so I can understand you.
I'm just prepared to be disappointed by now and in that way I'll be really happy if something actually pleases me.
This sounds a lot more negative than I had planned.

Aaah I kinda regrett posting a comment. What the f*ck am I doing. There is no good discussion to be had here anyway.

I just find it amusing that you just know some that are complaining in this thread are also some of the people who make noise about getting the male vanu dance and vice versa.

This has literally nothing to do with the countless other times myself and others have asked for equal glamouring and such.

Usually we ask for things when we don't have it and they don't seem like "gendered items anyway, (Bunny Ears) or if its skewed to one gender (Females having more pieces available in Gold Saucer)
But with these Hat's...there are two hats, both locked to a single gender, this is entirely fair, and it's not the first time feathers/hair ornament have been changed between gender (some of the circlets have different feather/gem arrangements between genders)

People are only asking for this topic to be locked due to the toxicity it caused when issues that have NO relevancy to the topic are brought up, in several posts the word "LGBT" was bought up (even in the OP of all things >.>) for no apparent reason, it wasn't even a question of these things until people pulled it into the topic.

    This.

I understand why having less glam for guy characters is frustrating. I think there should be some things locked to each sex, but that there be a comparable amount for both sexes. I def think skewing it to where girls have more options is lame.

But what does that have to do with being LGBT or whatever? I'm sure both straight people and LGBT people find this annoying. Why bring this up at all?
