God no 300 sp a catch, how friggin horrible. Get yourself a time machine and let me know how you like it 6+ months ago, when you had to rank the hard way like me and many others, on -100 sp a catch in the 40's

UM... 6 months ago you could go 1-50 Ilses of Umbra with 300-500 a catch LOL

Grade 10 fishing nodes gave the max SP per catch 1-50 deu to having grade 1 fish in them they were easy even at r1. this made the grind exploitable by going 1-50 off the max sp possible in the same spot off rank1 fish

I'm getting 300+ on fishing now that I am near Lv 40. I don't know where else to go next. Is there a grade 6 out there or just grade 5?

After grade 6 you go back to grade 1.

ya there is no grade 6, grade 5 is the max

But man 6+ months ago was a severe challenge for ranking fish, botany and mining.

Botany and minig was a challenge. Fishing was easy mode pre 1.18

if you are concentrating on fishing to level it up. i would suggest you can go out and fish grade 5 nodes until you hit fatigue and then pick up the leves for each city. the high level leves can get you 30-40k sp on top of your regular fishing. i'm kinda stuck and doing the same thing on my miner and botanist right now.

i wish they would have just thought and added grade 6 nodes for the other gathering classes and just removed 7-10 for the fishing exploit.

I'm guessing the OP has finished main story quests cos they do give out some nice SP if not.
