Skills you never use

Yeah Hide is trash in most of the content. I mean you can use it during dungeon runs but you have to be sure to remain close to mobs and to not aggro an extra where can't use the ability.

There is a small, very small window where could possibly forgoe a Suiton for hide and then use TA from that and are free to cast something else. Did I mention how small that window was?

Silence, Stun, Heavy, Bind, Pacification.

OK while the skills associated with these abilities have value and are often used as a "dps increase" I would say all the above effects are largely worthless.
Think there's maybe 3 occasions I've actually "needed" blunt arrow to silence anything.

One of the choices in FFXIV I've always been slightly disappointed in is the limit of the effectiveness(mostly all of them) of the buff/debuff skills in game.

2.0 held such promise, too... Apparently coordinating Silence on High Voltage was too much for this playerbase though, now ADS and High Voltage are jokes, and we're stuck getting something crappy like boring old Faust instead...

Dissipation, I stopped raiding as a Scholar and outside of raids, it was very little use.
Wide Volley, it's the same potency as Quick Knock, but more TP intensive, I took it off my bar.
Surecast, bit too finicky for my liking.
Shukuchi, I only use it to throw my Doton's around and impress people.
Wardens Paeon, even in normal content I still don't use it.
Piercing Talon/Throwing Daggers

I won't add One-Ilm Punch/Hyoton/Sleep/Repose/Shadowbind/Lethargy because they have uses in PVP and older content (lethargy in T5 for the dreadknights is a good use)

As a Nin, probably Hyoton. I can't even remember the last time I use this skill except by accident if I input huton too quick.

I definitely remember the last time I used Hyoton.
I was waiting for the party to pull Tioman and I was prepping Huton...then suddenly the boss is racing towards me. Oops.

BLM skills that dropped off at some point.

Surecast, Sleep, Blizzard 2, Lethargy, Freeze, Hawkeye, Virus?, Ruin.

Some skills just are borderline useless or PvP exclusive. In PvP I just exclusively use Freeze, Sleep and Lethargy. Healers get better use with Surecast then a BLM ever will. And Surecast only stops damage from a interrupt. Knockback and para/petrify all interrupt.
