Amen to that. Do it because it's "not the english dub" more than Japanese even, I would say. Dub in this game is straight-up painful.

I liked their English voices in ARR a lot, but so much of the cast changed (and most of them for the worse IMO) for Heavensward that it was just really jarring to keep playing with English voice overs. After I switched to the Japanese voice acting, I went back and rewatched most of the important cut scenes and they carried a little more impact in some cases (also IMO).

They sound even better in french. And I don't speak french. I just pretend it's a fantasy language. x'D After witnessing Minfilia's flat english voice for the first time, I vowed to change cutscene language. So when they later released the game and released the different voiced ARR trailers, I compared them and came to the conclusion french sounded the best.

People have been saying that the english voices have changed since ARR. Can't say I've noticed the same on french side. No regrets!

Oh come on guys. She has only been captured twice and to be fair, so has the WoL. Admittedly the WoL has only needed rescuing once but still. At least her captures were powerful individuals and not a bunch of Amal'jaa and a bunch of Brass Blades.
