Here I'll give you an example of my play style

When I do leves, depending on time and if I do them alone or with people from my ls, I will usually run from Ul'dah to Gridania to grab leves and wait for everyone else to be ready. Or if people are all on at that moment we teleport as a group. We decide where to start, Treespeak or Nine Ivies. We of course teleport to both camps as there is nothing to really interesting to look at on the way. The scenery is beautiful though. The teleport also saves on time since people just want to get leves done and go about their own business. Everyone is happy.

When I do locals, I will walk to every camp to turn them in. Why? Because I think it's wasteful otherwise and I usually have time to do so. Party somewhere? I will teleport to the aether and walk to meet the party.

So there is how I travel. Everyone is different. You do whatever is convenient for you, as it should be. Options are a good thing.

Yes, people will travel according to their style and how the game allows them travel.
Majority of the players will take the fastest route. Noobs to hardcore. The people on this forum are not the majority of the players.

So if easy and instant ways, that disconnect the land, are possible means. Then most of the players on a server will use that route.
Think about all the people who don't post on the forums that will do the above method of instant travel. They represent the crowd I'm talking about. They're the individuals who make our world feel occupied. So while one or two of us have a play style such as those above, the majority will take the easy way out simply because they can.

lets face it, when it comes to anima, we have 2 options and ONLY 2 options.

    1) use it
    2) dont use it

there, you have a choice, which boils down to these 2 paths

    1) dont like it = dont use it
    2) like it = use it

so quit ya yapping and get on with it. stop ruining eveyone elses gaming experience cause you dont like something ffs

Yes, your correct we have those options and they remain even with this change.

What I'm asking is, if one way decreases the players involvement in this game world (which it does), it should be changed for the better of the game.
A better game = more players, more players = more money.

Doesn't SE want more money? Don't you want more people to play with?

Everyone is saying I'm trying to ruin the experience, it's quite the opposite.

and once again I'll use the city / land example. Why do cities feel occupied and more lively? Because people are in it, running through it, they can't teleport to their points then out of the city again. If they could we wouldn't see them, because they're not using the middle ground, the city's land.

and since everyone is so short on time and hate time sinks, how about someone create a thread asking SE to put aetherytes at all the guilds?

I don't hear anyone crying about the time it takes to run from the market wards to the alchemist guild in ul'dah for a purpose? Or from the aetheryte in gridania to the conjurer's guild for a purpose? So why is everyone crying about the same amount of time it would take to run to an aetheryte for teleportation purposes?

It's not a problem because the game forces you to do it, and you've accepted it because you've took it as a necessary part of playing the game and became used to it. It's the same thing being applied here except outside. I hate that i used spoiled because it sounds very demeaning. We really just are used to having it given to us, when we should work for it just like we put the effort into to making it to a guild.
