I love how the one person who quoted me failed to read what I wrote lol, gotta love people who quote for no reason. Anyway glad to see people are coming around, we just want more interesting gear, no woman wants to be a sex symbol, but I play as miqote in game, and I do wear clothes which reveal cleavage in real life, I'm not a puritan lol geez its the 21st century. I went to school with Mormons who couldn't wear sleeveless clothes, I mean I understand its cultural, but as awesome people say "I'm gonna do me", now saying that we shouldn't be eye candy to men in one thing, but saying that by wearing sexy clothes is downgrading women to eye candy is your problem in how you view the world, its like saying women who wear sexy clothes deserve the harassment given to them. They don't we should all be able to walk outside naked without even a mention of privees or nipples, just sayin we're born that way.

Now in XIV should we be naked all the time? No its doesn't really make sense that's just my philosophical argument. But if XIV we should have more interesting outfits which explore femininity. Femininity was never thought of once with the clothes, and femininity isn't sexiness, if you can't find a way to detach femininity from sexiness thats your problem and your holding back feminism for the rest of us.

Not to really anyone in particular when I say you, but you guys know this isn't a college thesis or anything so eff it.

But since its a sketch i guess i have to fill in my blanks on my ideas, i want nice crisp patterns embrodied etc
Dark colors for black mage / lighter for white mage perhaps.
Something elegant yet, sick-as-hell looking.

Some transparent clothing, mesh, lace-clothing (such as arms, back, legs upper torso)...something teasing.

And well "Lady Lilith" style from FFXI's WotG expansion.

You need to decide what you're actually asking for. You say you want more interesting outfits. ok, that's reasonable, but then we get back on 'sexy' again, and you're convoluting your request.

Should also be stated that it most certainly is 'not' the 21st century in Eorzea. The clothing is period appropriate to its surroundings and setting.

IN FACT, dressing that way in Eorzea would signify only 'one' thing in that thematic society. after all, in the time period we're talking about, you dress to do a job, right? :P

Women look respectable and for once equal to men in this game, I personally find it refreshing, it adds to the immersion and validity of the world. So many fantasy games are absolutely ridiculous with their high fantasy environs and enemies, burly, grizzled men in heavy armor, then the ridiculous stripper mage wearing some ridiculous robe/lingerie combo that'd make a stripper blush, jiggling in the background as she casts spells.

It's stupid, and I'd really hate to see this stuff in XIV.

But as I say, if we're talking about more interesting outfits, or outfits that are feminine, fine.. But if the embodiment of that femininity is just showing off some boobage or whatever, it's just an indication of how fast the suffragettes are spinning in their ancient graves.
