I should branch out on these forums, since I only seem to post in Mac threads, but for what it's worth, I just noticed this new client last night. Had to re-download and re-install, but wow, what a difference. Huge leaps over the last time I tried it, which itself was a much better version than we had in June. For me, I'm seeing performance on par with the Windows client, with the only stutters right now when I'm running through a crowded city. But that can happen in Windows too.

    For reference, I have a late 2012 iMac 27", 3.2 GHz i5, 24GB RAM, GeForce GTX 680MX (2GB), running 10.11.4.

I have an iMac with the same configurations as you although 8gb ram less. Before this update my 2014 rMBP with Intel Iris Pro performed better than my iMac where I could play the game with 20-30fps on standard setting for laptop. While my iMac usually stayed below 20fps no matter the setting. This update didn't do much for my rMBP, for the iMac however it made a huge difference. At high settings the fps usually stays around 40 fps although it can vary with 20fps up and down depending on how crowded the place is.
