    Question on crafting

So I'm interested in crafting, I only have 2 at 50(BSM,ARM) and the rest are everywhere from 15-30, my main question is do I have to level all of them to 50/60 or can I just pick the one I like and take it to 60?

I do have a gatherer(MIN) at 60 which i can use to offset some of the cost but I do realize i do have to buy whatever i can't gather/craft, which I'm fine with. Getting all to 60 just seems hella daunting, and probably is, but if i put effort into one crafting class would that be ok?

P.S sorry if this has been asked before

You need level 50 alchemist, level 50 carpenter, level 15 armorer, and level 37 culinarian at least for the cross class skills they provide.

Having everything at 50 is nice, but these are by far the most required if you're looking to do the bare minimum.

Other helpful cross class skills are from 50 and 54 goldsmith, 15 blacksmith (50 for a stronger version), and 50 weaver. 50 leatherworker is also useful on some rotations.

    Hope this helps.

I've never used the 50 LTW. I'd rate the 50 WVR more highly than the 50 ALC, but personal preference is personal preference.

You *can* take one class only to 60, if you want, leaving the rest where they are. There are two reasons, only one of which was stated (cross class skills) why it is recommended that people take them all up. The other is rarely stated, but can be pretty darn important in and of itself : refined materials. If you take, say, BSM to 50 but leave CRP where it is, you are at the mercy of the Marketboard for not only the non-miner raw materials, but for the refined materials you may need as well, things like the leathers or the lumbers. Depending on the Marketboard, there are times when it is cheaper to buy the refined material, but there are also times when it is cheaper (even factoring in Crystal/shard costs) to get the raw materials and turn them into the refined material you need.

Waste not II rotation is considered by most to be the most reliable way to do the current 2 star crafts if you aren't a specialist, but that's all I use it for.

Also, you can easily use the extra CP from Comfort Zone and Tricks to make careful synthesis II completely irrelevant, that's why I didn't rate it as highly.

Waste not II is definitely a useful skill, but it's also a double edged sword. There are many cases in which I forgo the use of WN2 in order to come up with a better rotation on the fly. Over-reliance on it can sometimes be detrimental.

CS2 is useful in that it's more powerful than basic synthesis, possibly allowing me to use tricks of the trade one extra time when using maker's mark/FS (depending on my craftsmanship stat of course). Since it's RNG free, it also can save me 22 CP in some cases.

I don't consider either to be essential but recommend having them both available if possible. When crafting base 2* materials, I usually have both equipped.

Having all your crafters at lvl50 will help you immensely for both crafting & repairing your gear. You can repair in duties too & it repairs to 199%. To me, it's a really useful tool!

Same, but currently with the rotation I use my blacksmith doesn't have room for it, everything else just feels more important. :/
So I just use standard synth and make triple sure I have the 15 cp for it.
