Yeah hallowed ground would save me if they both stung me at the same time. Unfortunately as I've already stated especially in that quote, the one leading cause of my demises is that those hubris twits are not keeping me healed up. So I get stung and auto attacked by one or all of the 3~6 other enemies, 18K MAX HP, 7K gone to 0.8K then 0 in 2 seconds without CDs because again, those idiots expect my CDs to save me when I had to use them all to ensure their negligence prior to the final sting doesn't kill me, and then bam I got dead. Easily preventable if they done their part to start with but NOPE. I mean I have no problem healing/stacking barriers through that as a scholar in 170s with a Vit ring and points all in piety, and these idiots were in 200~210 Gordian gear with maximum mind. SAVAGE GORDIAN GEAR WITH MAXIMUM MIND! Unbelievable!

Last time, I holmanged and went the whole 6seconds at 1HP.

Level 60 Roulette, got FC.

PLD/BRD/WHM/BLM. Everything was fine, we did really well until the final boss, clean, no problems. Then the PLD seemed to get bored and started intentionally pulling the boss over to face the ranged characters. As in, everyone else in the party. When we moved to avoid his face, he would pull it again over to face us as best he could.

Those constant frontal cleaves do about 4k each. It was, ah, rough to cure and a few times we had to actually run over the land mines on purpose to get away from the cleaves. The poor BLM never stood a chance and was basically relegated to either running constantly or death and at least doing some damage.

I generally get decent parties in DF, and those that are less than average I can usually carry, so this was a really surreal experience for me. Why would you want to sabotage your party like that? The guy seemed perfectly friendly before.

It is just best to use HG when the first sting gets cast (dps must be really out of whack if both are up for a sting) that should give attention hey now we got 10 more seconds before we are in deep trouble. Still if you do your part to blow it for a sting, it will now be on the healer and dps to finish the job, and they have no one to blame but themselves after that.

Savage gear this late in the cycle doesn't really say a whole lot about job skill in itself. At the end of the raid cycle we are usually on our 3rd and 4th alts being geared. Even in our raid it's to the point the healer gear is going to drop to the floor because even all the alts have their stuff. Generally, I expect some raid level intuition if one is going to use savage gear on alt job. But it's very late in the cycle now, and in the first months, sure I would say they are very likely a healer main. But it could have been an alt that doesn't play healer so much as well. So it is something to think about.

Soooo I just did Alex turn 2 I ask a melee dps who was a monk to do the goblin walker because we had a new tank with us.... The dps was monk, bard, black Mage, black Mage. I was a astro the other healer was a whm. We wipe the first time cuz I couldn't heal the dog that was taken by the bomb and the adds at the same time. The other healer had the same issue. We wiped again with the same issue. I ask the monk if he/she could get the goblin walker for us the monk said no.... Then I said this fight is not a melee fights and mind u it ain't a dps check... The monk was doing 1600 did not look at the guys gear... Then the group start getting rude to me cuz I don't know other class and etc I said do the f*** mechs of the fight... Also I was popping balance most of the time. Was I wrong for b********...

According to the sorry ass BLM in my group just now, healers are supposed to only heal, and just wouldn't shut up everytime I casted Aero or Stone 1(this is copperbell normal...). At this point I have low tolerance for player's crap and I so wanted to hit her in the face really hard.

melee main recently started to get sch up, usually i let eos do the job
then i reached cutters cry

first run, every one had 60 jobs, was a breeze

second run, tank is a sync'd pld from 50, wearing only i55 left side, no belt, no accessories, no shield oath, a dps left after first pull, i followed suit
third run, a pld pulls with provoke, claims it has better utility because it doesnt use a gcd... then proceed to die to every shrapnel explosions in the next room, well

i think i will try and get through the levels as smn in fates...

@Twilite right ! True healer are DPS healer
Any DPS who disagree must be answered by :

"If I DPS it's maybe because the real one are not doing their job... And need help"
When in fact it's just because you don't want to stay there and get bored...

If someone questions my dps'ing as healer, I tell them I call it preemptive healing ^^

Technically, not a healing story since I was the tank but.... I had a WHM whose reply to any form of damage taken was Medica II or regen. She had to be consistently reminded to re-prot parties after death as well. We had the most interesting Wanderer's Hard run ever.

I think someone took TheHiveLeader's guide to healing in MMOs a little too seriously. =p


On another instance, levelling my machinist, got into an in-progress Sohm Al run. Was a complete wipefest because the healer only concentrated on the tank. Not even sure why she wasn't healing DPSs or even why her fairy wasn't out. Desperate cries for salvations were ignored. I cut my losses short on that one after three wipes.
