I did my trial roulette on AST and ended up with Ravana which I fought ca. 3 months ago for the last time so my knowledge of the fight was a bit rusty, and the newbie message popped up. Even worse, my co-healer was also an AST and the MT pulled without asking if everyone knows what to do ._.' Well, turned out the other AST was one of the gentle kind who won't overwrite my cards, and everything went smoothly, people properly dodged stuff, killed adds and stacked for the big attack to recieve my shielding Aspected Helios. Then the MT fell off the arena after the first knockback attack. And then I stood somewhere where I shouldn't have stood and got killed. While my partner threw a raise to me, people were eating a lot of damage, I'm not sure where all this came from, at one point it was only the remaining tank, a bard and me standing and the LB3 wasn't up yet ._.' I raised the other healer and together we managed to bring everyone back to life and full health - thanks to the bard who was actually singing without being asked for it. This man got my comm! Singing bards will always get my comm! The other healer also deserved it, really sad I had only one to give

Oh, and guess who was the newbie. Yep, it was the MT.

We had a drunk healer in Aurum Vale a couple nights ago. I literally watched him drop dead in front of me from standing in Gold Bile. 2am and I started cracking up.

Plonk.

Aurum Vale is my favorite.

Had the unicorn neverreap today for roulette. All geared players who knew their role. A DRK that new how to use CD, a DRG and a SMN. The packs melted so fast that by the time blood price wore off the tank, there was only enough HP left for 2, maybe three Holy.

Was beautiful.

Of course followed up by a Pharos ex roulette, with a fend WAR who plulled big packs, didn't Aoe for hate, almost no CD, and on top of that would sit on 5 stacks of abandon/wrath for the entirety of every pull. All with one of the dps being pretty much min ilvl.

I just landed in an in-progress level 60 roulette that made me want to cry, though not for the reasons one might think. It popped immediately as JIP with 26 minutes elapsed. This raised a bit of a red flag with me, but I shrugged and decided to see what was up. Upon entering the instance, I asked what had happened as I caught up with the group, and the reply was that the tank was new. It looked like the group had wiped at the second boss (nobody had protect/stone skin so I'm assuming the healer just bailed after the group wiped there), and I decided to look over the tank's gear. I kind of have a soft spot for newbie tanks. :3

They weren't kidding that he was new. I was presented with a Warrior using an i145 weapon and left side gear, a law belt and some green dungeon drop Fending jewelry. Twelve love him, he tried so hard though. He helped with totems at the second boss and even though he lost hate on trash mobs fairly often to me and to the DPS, he pulled them back as fast as he could. Decent cooldown usage, too. All that was really getting him was the item level differential. I'll be honest when I say that made me a little bit mad that their previous healer had bailed. It's one thing when someone new doesn't listen and doesn't know what they're doing on their class at all, but this guy was all ears and he was doing the absolute best he could. I'd like to think that maybe the previous healer had an emergency, but I know the reality is that they probably just got impatient and didn't want to deal with a new person.

We wonder why tanks are in such short supply? It's because too often the new ones are subjected to a trial by community. :/

This is why we continually tell the old bard from my static that his character's name should be Lagolas Facepuller.

He's facepulled pretty much every raid and dungeon boss with either Foe Requiem or a bard autoattack. xD

That's actually one of the big things I've liked about Minuet (and Gauss by extension, although obviously I had much less pre-3.0 MCH experience to draw back from)... it stopped all the annoying auto-attack earlypulls I used to do by accident :/

I don't think it was, unless you were on SCH. Eos probably saved all our asses.

I was, in fact, a SCH
Eos saves lives.

However it probably wasn't me since this was right after the battle. I was headed on my way to the next area then I had to stop for a sec and......I died. Observational skills at their finest

I know right? I remember going in there in a bunch of NQ level 60 stuff from the vendor in Azys Lla. xD
