Monster Hunter 4 U has no Region Lock, nor does Animal Crossing, Pokémon, and Fantasy Life. ^.^

You had me excited for a second. But after testing it out, my Japanese Animal Crossing definitely does NOT work on my American New 3DS. So, I'm realizing you meant region locking as in being able to play ONLINE with people in different regions. The game carts are definitely locked to systems from their own region.

On topic for FFXIV: I really only foresee FFXIV devs cross promoting games that are of core importance to Square Enix and Final Fantasy. FFXV, FFVII-remake, maybe another Dragon Quest cross-over since this is the 30th anniversary. Depending on how large the Dissidia release is, I could possibly see a cross promotion event due to Y'shtola joining the cast.

I'm sorry to have gotten your hopes up for that. >.< I did actually mean Online Playing, wondering if that was region locked.
Guess I'll see later today if it is or not. (Once again, Online play, not the game itself.)

thats where the misunderstanding was. region locking doesnt involve who you play with, but what you play on. jp 3ds games dont work on na 3ds and vice versa.
