Yea i wouldnt use that. Im already nervous using expanded and i still screw that up sometimes, this would be a mess with my MNK.

The crosshotbar is perfect as it is and we have enough space for everything. Also you can use the keyboard bars to keep track of the cooldowns, so...
Adding more buttons and really messy commands (such as using D-pad to navigate between bars) would just add unnecessary difficulty and would increase the chances to miss-hit skills or switch to a wrong hotbar.
I have instant access to all Scholar skills, including fey, and I believe SCH and SMN are the jobs that have more skills, so yeah.
OP just needs a better management of his hotbars, that's all!

Guess I'm a bit confused here. I have yet to play a job that takes up more than 2.5 cross hotbars. That's a cap that's easy to reach with one expanded hotbar and one R1 switch. I keep my pvp set on 2 seperate bars that I activate through the options menu when I do decide to pvp. Additionally I keep a 3rd hotbar that is shared but doesnt cycle... just hold R1 +X to activate it ( it has my tele's, map activation, choco, etc...).
I get wanting more options, but I'm just rather confused as to why this would be more necessary than other things.

I actually like that idea, I tend to have all that stuff on my expanded bars, but that sounds like it could work really well. will have to play around later

Yeah it prevents you from accidentally hitting it when your doing something important and is still just a button press away for easy access. I also only use one half of the expanded bar. When your doing stuff in a fight mashing any combo of R2 and L2 to bring up the same menu is way more efficient then trying to remember to hit one before the other. Especially if you have cooldowns up there.
