Square is not Blizzard. Ergo, not every company is going to grant your requests just because of a minor misfortune you had. Otherwise I'd go to Square and give the same sob story for a free day and all my friend stoo.

From Merriam-Webster:

Definition of literally

: in a literal sense or manner : actually <took the remark literally> <was literally insane>

And SE will likely lock your account for a charge back.
This from the people that put bling and other such slang into the dictionary. Let's just change everything because people can't do it right. From Merriam-Webster:

Side note, it is the Oxford English dictionary that way as well, and when someone also brought it up, someone replied with this quote:
I am actually astounded by this."The Oxford English Dictionary has also listed this secondary definition of the controversial term since 1903.
Katherine Martin, head of U.S. dictionaries at Oxford University Press, attributes the recent hype to a concept known as "recency allusion." This term, coined by Stanford University professor and linguist Arnold Zwicky, means that because you have only recently noticed something, you believe it to be new—even if it originated in the days of Shakespeare.
The dispute surrounding the term "literally" may stem from a common misconception about dictionaries. Contrary to popular belief, the stated aim of most dictionaries is both to codify English as it is intended to be spoken (prescriptive) and record it as it is actually spoken in everyday life (descriptive).
"We serve a dual purpose: to help people compose text and to help people understand text," Martin said. "We wouldn't be doing our job if we didn't provide definitions of words as they are actually used.""

That is because here, you have duty finder while in FFXI it was about doing stuff as a server.
FFXI was shout put together your team if you met someone cool they added you to friends list or invited them to the LS, now people would say its the same here but here is the downfall of things.
See in FFXI though people got along way better, it had its share of greedy leaders who hogged all the loot and ditched the LS or got their relic and took off after promising to stick it out for someone else to get one and much more people who ripped each other off, so they join FFXIV and see that they don't even need to deal with leaders anymore and do things on their own without shouting for help or getting ripped of or screwed out of loot and stay away from people cause they lost trust.
in FFXI you didn't have a choice if you bumped into someone that made you mad you had to suck it up and do the run cause there wasn't that many options but you are right, you have way more friends in XI because of the community in your own server who done things as a whole, XIV doesn't have things as a server, only if you make a Set party or doing hunts but to be honest you don't need those things to get stuff done like in XI.
Oh and I would like to add there was also the fact FFXI had a conversation piece to it, example would be different armors and weapons rare things they can get that set everyone apart or gave people something to talk about.
Like you get a weapon that nobody has that is different with skills and stats are different and nobody was ever the same like here in FFXIV.
People would say hey where did you get that weapon, tell them or help them or I have this armor got it from bcnm.
here in ffxiv nothing sets you apart everyone has same stuff its bland nothing special about it every MMO I played has something that sets someone apart with gear here everyone is the same. glamour does not count under it is the same junk

What, you didn't like having to type in your CD keys every time you wanted to do anything, and navigate through that morass of a UI in the PlayOnline Launcher?
