Make FFXIV More Alt-Friendly... Please??????

I would like it to be more alt friendly, but taking away the MSQ isn't what I had in mind. I love running though the MSQ again.

I would like to use my house with my alts, I would like to be able to trade items with my alts.

I can't do it, I just can't. The time I spend on an alt could be progress made on my main.

I would like them to make the game more alt friendly too. I really like my main character but I sometimes feel like creating different ones.
The biggest problem is the lack of sending mails to your alt. It just plain sucks. Also unlocking glamour and dye stuff and pets + mounts.

Auto-add characters on the same account and server to each other's friendslist.

This would solve 90% of the problem. If I could mail stuff to my one alt and share my house with her, I'd be perfectly content. Can it really be that hard?

if i think about alt friendly, it is not about skipping the MSQ, but about mailing and house sharing with alts.

Square Enix doesn't think of them as alts, but as separate characters. The distinction being that they have no ties to the "main" account. Each character is completely separate.

That said you can mail items/friend other characters, but since the character has to be online to friend it might literally be as simple as the friend system having too be completely overhauled (to allow offline people) and because of that they haven't done it. Possibly concern because of spam or build up of how to handle backlog etc. A lot less hassle for SE to change nothing.

But in regards to the main topic, no please don't change the characters so the MSQ is skipped/changed on subsequent characters on the same account. If you've maxed your main character then sometimes it is nice to be able to start over/level up again and although I'm still getting the last few jobs to 60, I can totally see me going back to one of my other characters and levelling that some more in the future once I'm done with this one (I did when I had everything at 50).

And I didn't mind needing to do the MSQ, tbh. This was during the pre-HW drought, and all those quest rewards got me enough cash to afford most of the glamor I had in mind.

On a side note though... what's the appeal of 3 different versions of "humanoid busty blonde"? Honestly asking.

Hello everyone. I'm an alt-aholic. Currently I have 6 characters (one for every race) on Balmung and one whole neglected lala on Sargatanas. I honestly don't mind going through the msq though. Part of the reason I make an alt is to experience it again with a different face and origin.

The mail thing did always bug me. Being able to send mail amongst my ladies would certainly save our FC chest the hassle. It's stuffed enough with useless junk as is. The other thing that bugs me is trying to get a new alt on this server. With rumors of a new expansion and people wondering about a new race, I've already begun the struggle to get #7 on the server, but its unlikely I'll be successful this time. No beuno. Since only one character on an account can be online at any given time, I don't think an alt's existence should affect or be affected by the server's character creation floodgates. Alas...

If they did add this feature I am sure it would be an optional opt out of the MSQ (if you read OP's post they asked for optional not forced) and by no means do you HAVE to skip it on new alts if you don't want to.

As for topic sure, as long as it is optional there isn't really any issue with it. I probably would still do the MSQ on my alts for the EXP but if people didn't want to since they already did it on a main character I don't see the problem.

I make alts on different servers to play with friends. I had to lvl up a lot of alts on different servers and it's a pain to do the story over and over every forking time! if they can implement a way for us to communicate and queue up with people in other servers then that would be a better solution for me.
