    Looking to possibly move

So I'm looking for a little info about this server, I have a lvl 60 character on NA server I'm thinking of possibly moving here but I kinda wanted to know a little bit more about this server first.

I'm wanting to know how the player base is, how active of a server it is. I know it's a lower pop server and that doesn't bother me overly much as long as it's reasonably active with players.

I have yet to clear the coils and was hoping to possibly finally do it now, I know on the NA server people have been creating parties on the PF to do this but most of them have been while I've been in bed. So I'm wondering if anything like this has cropped up on the PF at all?

I will also be looking for a FC to join as well if I come here so please feel free to tell me about your FC's too. I'm looking for a active base, friendly people willing to do content with other players be it early dungeons or new. Possible chances of growing within the FC as I'd like to participate and help within the FC if I could, so given responsibilities even if it's just feeding chocobo's and tending to the garden. Oh that's another thing as well, the chance to be able use the garden as well as I'd like to possibly grow my own minions.

    Hi Starrune,

Even though this server is one of the lower pop servers you occasionally see login queues going. Especially when a new patch hits.
There are always groups in PF open. You will have no trouble finding pony farms, primal ex and even Alex Savage learning and farming groups.
As far as my experience goes. I see some people transfering out of this server because there aren't many experienced players on our server compared to some others. (Odin)
Which is not true at all. While we do have many inexperienced players but the ranks of good players get filled rather quickly. I met many players here who developed over time and are very good players now. They just need a little help to get on their right path Over the last months we progressed really well as a server and it is a very satisfying feeling to watch.

If you happen to transfer to our server you could join our FC called "The Circle"
This is the thread to the fc: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-is-Recruiting
The FC started out a few days ago and we are super active at the moment. Many of the people in this FC are new so the passion to play XIV is immense.

I'd be super happy to see you around

    Hey,

So far, I've seen plenty of parties for all sorts of content. Not that many for the Coils, but an FC mate did manage to get into Syrcus Tower through duty finder! Of course, you can always start your own group (and give Intrepid Society <<GUTSY>> members a shout, we're definitely up for doing all of coil synced! Or unsynced, whichever.)
A while back, most of our multi-gaming community started FFXIV. Then Fallout 4 came out, and we lost a bunch of people. Currently we have a few active members at 60, and a few leveling at their own pace. We're looking to start a static, but we're always willing to help with other content

Once you've transferred, feel free to drop by our FC house and say hi!

Hey Raito and Jenn, thank you both for the awesome replies. Sorry it took so long to respond things got a bit hectic in RL.

I wanted to test the waters so to speak before making any final decisions on the server. I mean I don't want to transfer and then find myself not happy lol so I made a alt to level for a little while, see how content is for a bit, then if I like I'll be for sure transferring across with Riona.

Feel free though to shoot me a tell in game if I'm around my character is called R'iku Neneh.

I should also make you aware that while I'll be on Zodiark a lot I'll also be still playing Starunne too with my friend when he's around. So I will be active but not active 24/7 if that makes sense.

No problem! Good idea to level an alt, I'll ads it to my friendlist. If you want a healer for anything just give me a shout

As someone who's just transferred OUT of Zodiark only less than an hour ago, I would honestly suggest looking elsewhere.

Zodiark has a wonderful community filled with very helpful players who also provide the occasional hilarious moment. I can't fault it for the people I've ran into. The problem is, running into said people. Zodiark isn't dead by any stretch of the imagination, but the Duty Finder wait has pretty much killed me over the past few months. It's finding the right time to find the player base. Given I work night shifts, I can only log in very early morn to very late at night on my days off. Very little are online at the time and it's proved extremely detrimental to me.

I've been on Zodiark since I began my XIV journey two years ago. I mean no disrespect on my old original server, but I do feel the Duty Finder wait has become so bad that it's not worth making the jump.

Duty finder is not a sever thing. It picks up from all servers in your data center. So if you transfer within the sam data center, you will have the same df queues.

I have heard but what puzzles me is I had a friend on another server within the same DC who always seemed to get into instances and raids quicker than me. (And they're also a DPS class selecting the same restrictions.) I can't help but feel your server does have a factor in it, but it could very well be my imagination. It took me near 4 hours for the Labyrinth of the Ancients. I find it hard to believe it would take so long if it was really choosing players across an entire EU Data Centre.

Zodiark does tend to be player scarce when it comes to hunts and FATE's though.

Hello Black, I understand what your saying and thank you for the warning, like T'erra said though duty finder is a data center side not server side so it may be simply the times you are able to play. Given that your only able to in the wee hours of the morning or late late at night you might have been better transferring to a NA data center, the times if I'm thinking right are during the afternoon and evening for the NA side of people.

Which is one of the reasons why I would be better of moving from there to a EU server and I chose Zodiark because I'd been on it before a very long long time ago and something about the server just you know stuck with me.

Ohhh and forgot to add, I have heard that dps queues rather close range dps can be faster than say the long range ones. I'm not sure how much this is true lol but something I heard. Plus DPS queues can be long wherever you play, I'm looking at a 20 - 30 min wait on behemoth for example.

It's the entire data center, not the world, you play with in duty finder instances. If your friend is getting faster queues, it's possibly because he has a wider selection of languages checked for the DF, something you can alter in your DF menu. It may also be times played, as mentioned above, which will not change anything since you're still on Chaos server.

Hunts and FATEs are also not scarce in the slightest, being present personally at these recently. Hunts don't even load up every player on my PS4 since there are so many people.
If you are having real issues with your time, I suggest looking into transferring to an NA or other data center where the timezone matches your schedule.
