Is the Double Cross Hotbar anywhere close!?...

In all seriousness why does this need to be a thing? Are you actually using up all 128 slots now? Im not trying to be rude but how are people filling that many slots you must have everything on your hotbars.

I'm using every single slot, that is all 128, 3 hotbars for class/job commands and 5 hotbars for shared commands, there are hundreds of commands in the game, probably, and I can't see why anyone would oppose to having more if it could only benefit players, that is others whom like me use mostly the controller instead of keyboard and mouse!...

I just made a simple question remembering something the Producer mentioned, you don't have to take a negative side or wonder about something you don't use, it would just be a great new feature to have and I'm waiting for it patiently!...

Nope, don't need to use all slots, It should be noted though that on controller it is easier to double up some commands on each bar, for example I have provoke/stun etc.. on both my 2 main bars, so if something fast happens you can react easier without having to switch which bar you are on first. Example: my stun is on R2+triangle for both my hot bars. so Stun is taking up 2 slots for 1 action.

Also you can only see CDs for the bar you are on... so what I do is use a PC bar to see cooldowns when they are ready, the ones I want to see anyway.

I still don't understand, unless you're sharing all your hotbars between classes (which no one should be doing) there is still a huge amount of space available?

Even if each job needs 3 hotbars, that's still 5 hotbars left for other stuff! What on earth do you fill the 5 leftover hotbars with? General commands and... emotes??? It reaches the point where it's just as easy to access them via the menu instead of searching through your hotbars for commands you hardly ever use...

Just seems like ad odd thing for them to spend time developing, but I hope you get an update since you seem to really want it.

Even if each job needs 3 hotbars, that's still 5 hotbars left for other stuff! What on earth do you fill the 5 leftover hotbars with? General commands and... emotes??? Maybe if you were primarily a console or controller player you might get a bit more why the OP is asking. I also remember them mentioning increasing the cross hotbar for more quick access with controller. (No not just the current options but additional ones). I recall it being mentioned just around the announcement of some HW details.

I play as NIN main and about 80% of the actions I would want to quickly access are setup fine it really is just like one or two more of the (8 slot) cross hotbars options needed. I don't know about others but I have very few macros and none of them are actually combat oriented.

Double weaving and just accessing skills in general is much faster than any macro you could do.

Just a note. You don't access 16 skills at a time with cross hotbar it's 8 at a time. There are areas where other 8 action accesses could be implemented.

I am a console/controller player. Each job has 2 or three bars for combat. I have one bar shared among all jobs for general commands (teleport, dig, a few favourite mounts and minions etc), then one bar for emotes.

I suppose my point is I don't see how you can have 8 bars worth of COMMONLY ACCESSED commands. Yes, you can fill it with stuff you occasionally/rarely use, but at the point it's equally as quick to access it from the menu.

Anyway, just my view. I've never come across anyone who needed more hotbar space before.

Same here. I may not have been clear with my post, but I was agreeing with you and asking the OP what they have on their hotbar. ^^ Sorry for any confusion. While we could put every emote, minion, mount, and menu on the hotbar for quick access, I don't find it necessary. There are other ways to quickly get to them.

I am a primary controller player and I still don't understand why he needs all that space.
Hotbar shortcuts are for what you need to access quickly. You can do a ready call, check your team status or FC page by the xmb like menu.
Same for config, HUD, macros menu, etc...

You also don't need to have Bestiary for your crafters/gatherers, Fishing log for anything but fisher, craft log for anything but crafters, etc...5 shared hotbars is HUGE.
