Right. I just didn't feel the need to go into the details because the point was just that it doesn't actually have anything to do with Odin mythologically.

I actually don't recall any norse god weilding a sword come to think of it. Spears, axes, and bows sure, and of course Mjolnir being Thor's Iconic Hammer. But I don't recall any sword wielding Aesir or Vanir.

None of the Norse gods do that I recall, no. Swords are actually pretty rare in ancient mythology generally.

The only thing that comes close is the story behind Gram/Balmung/Nothung where Odin placed it into a tree for Sigmund to draw out. Much like Author did with Excalibur.
