Do You Incorporate RP Into Your Healer?

Depending on what job I have equipped, I'll RP a little bit gear wise / Lore wise and I do have my own personal background for my character. The FC room is decorated to their made-up personality but I don't actively RP as the character itself when I interact with other people. It's more themed than anything else for my own private info.

I just glamor sensible equipment over the terrible ones, plus my gut feels wrenched whenever I see some horrible text macro thrown onto a Raise or some finishing attack like Deathflare and just want the run to be over.

I don't play in-character unless I'm specifically RPing with someone. Mostly my outfits are just to look nice, but I have few non-combat outfits that I've made for RP purposes. (Mostly because she doesn't learn any combat skills until she's 29.) I have a super long background story for Haprilona (and several other alt characters) all the way from age 4 to age 33, so it's quite a wall of text that I have with me in my head.

I haven't properly RPd for almost a year since my only RP buddy left the game and the RP scene seems to have pretty much died on my server. Even so, I like to write stories and I like to RP in my head without really expressing it to other players. For now I just play the game "normally" and interract with others like I do in everyday life.

I'm also so tied to my character's personal story that it'd feel weird to act as her in, say, Aery, where she has no business to be in in the first place. And she certainly isn't an omni-crafter or a master of ten combat styles like the actual game character is. XD

Yeah, when I queue into DF on my SCH, sometimes I do a little thing where my fairy is sick and can't come along. I dunno why I keep getting removed from the group, though. I think they just can't handle the sheer awesomeness of my RP.

This is basically how I am. I don't really engage much in direct RP in game, but I have my own headcanon that impacts the jobs I focus on to some degree, as well as my glamours. Sometimes people think I'm weird for not always being comfortable playing some jobs (such as DRK or BLM—though I've twisted headcanon enough at the moment to play both because they're more fun than what would have been my normal choices, PLD and MCH, for those two roles) or how picky I can be about whether a glamour is something that Alahra would actually wear into combat.

My main has a number of sets, two of which are used in dungeons. Her main set is just a standard tribal, miqo'te look which is something IC even if her presence in such a place is not, whereas her other set is one for cold weather and is more modern and refined in appearance and is mostly just my way of getting around the fact that I hate seeing people wearing revealing gear in those cold dungeons like Snowcloak, haha. My Warrior is the same way in that he has a warm and cold weather set. I have a bunch of other fluff sets for out in the world too. All of my characters have a raincloak for instance that I always equip when the weather turns dreary, my main eve uses part of the Halloween barding and Highland barding for wet and cold weather respectively!

I do the same.. my alt I use to RP but my main, not so much. Though of course he still has quite the story, so I COULD.... but nah.

I like how a lot of people are "I RP in my head but that's so weird" but it seems to not really be that weird... hehe.

To be fair that's not what I said. :P I said that other people find it weird sometimes (I've been told as much directly, lol).
