People selling runs, why not talking about it ?

Oh please that doesn't make it right when users use this gil sellers. I can personally earn money primarily by gathering. I'm able to get by buying what I need even at current prices but the economy doesn't need to be poisoned by losers who simply buy their way into the game by illicit means. They are wrong, plain and simple and trying to infer that those using the market board are somehow implicated because they buy or sell there is ridiculous.

Exactly. That's the whole point. Yes, it's ridiculous. Just like how ridiculous it is to say that people selling runs are supporting gil sellers because some portion of those funds may or may not have passed through the hands of a gil seller at some previous point, just like with anything else that's bought and sold between players. That possibility doesn't de-legitimize selling runs any more than it de-legitimizes the Market Board.

Economically, anything in the game that requires more gil than what's readily available in the 'average' player's pocket therefore increases the demand for RMT as a service.

I can't believe people pay millions just to pass onto content harder than the stuff they couldn't beat in the first place. Bet the gil sellers love that stuff!

I'd NEVER pay for any type of service such as farms, dungeons, runs, trials etc... I actually laugh at most people that offer when I either ask for assistance or make a PF to forma group to complete. The other day I got two messages, when I formed a PF for learning Shiva EX (Yes I know I am/was behind, but it took some time to find a team of competent tanks/dps/healers "people in general" to beat Ramuh Ex) that and I was busy with ixal & gear stuff. Anyhoo, I got several messages from people taking my PF as a billboard requesting them to sell a run to me. First couple of times I responded: "No thanks." As I want to LEARN and participate in the fight so if I want to farm or repeat it for any reason, I will know the fight, not look like a tardo with having the clear but can't stay alive past the first phase and I don't like being carried.

The first guy actually respected that and wished me luck, but there were two others, that demeaned me and basically said I will never find anyone to complete it with, I'm bad, blah blah blah. I gave them both the same reply: This is not my first time playing an MMO and definitely not my first challenge or road block with having to learn a fight or form my own static to conquer the task. Go find someone else to prey on and leave me the fuck alone before I report you for harassment.

And then I blacklisted both of them.

The only thing that could be bad about people selling runs is that this invite people who NEED the run to probably buy gil. And we all know that if people buy gil, we see more RMTs. I bought a T5 run WAAAAAAY back when T5 was the buzz. Stupid decision, but I really wanted that PSN trophy lol... The run only costed 500k, but they let me go for 400k since all I had was 420k-ish, and because they said I had clear potential anyway.

That said, I'm not for or against people selling runs; I just think they are overpriced. What I'm MORE disturbed is, that we have people on my server who CAN clear content, but just keep getting grouped with folks who don't take the run serious, or they are not given the chance to get the clear in a farm group.
