This is the same type of suggestion like the people who made a petition to give us the option to play Au Ra without scales.

So no, totally against it. The clipping isn't even that bad, it's only tied to very specific gear pieces and is not a problem at all on most gear.
I'd rather see them fix clipping on this handful of gear than to chop off peoples' tails.

It wouldn't be chopped off, only hidden, since SE is too lazy to cut a hole in them. It should only be for robes, not pants,
